Answer:
I have not personally tried to paint over the product. I would guess that paint could go over it, but I am uncertain how well & how long the paint would adhere due to the smooth, metalic surface.

Answer:
I don't see why you couldn't paint over it, but you will likely see the edges if it is used on a flat surface. If you don't mind that then I say go for it.

Answer:
Hello Luis!
Nashau Foil Tape has a very shiny, aluminum finish.
It is not easily paintable.
Because the tape will flex and the surface is very shiny, even primer designed for aluminum siding (like Zinsser 123) will not be able to cling well over time.
Nashau Foil Tape is very adhesive and excellent for joints in ductwork, but typically is not painted.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Nashua 324A is designed for use in sealing the exterior seams of class 1 flexible or rigid duct work and should not be used on the inside of the duct. Best of luck with your project.

I noticed that both the foil and the paper backing have an adhesive on them. They come apart easily, but are you supposed to apply them together?

Answer:
Yes, pull the backing off as you lay the tape down. That way, you keep the tape under control.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. To apply Nashua 324A, you will want to remove and discard the brown kraft paper release liner. The adhesive face of the foil should then be applied to the surface. Good luck with your project!

Looks like it is rated up to the low 300°F range so it should make a good product choice for that use. In my outdoor/weather use, it has lasted great so far. Several years and counting!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a multi use product. Not just for ducts but also will seal caulk tubes for longer than a year! This tape will seal caulk tubes for over a year, just peal it off and use. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I have to tape wires to building pipes and remove them on a regular basis. This works perfectly because it doesn't leave any residues on the pipe even at high temperatures and it's as if I was never there. September 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good for certain applications. For my application I rate it: I bought this to build a couple Faraday cages for a small generator not being used now and certain other extra electrical items. The tape is conductive and is used to seal any seams. September 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Metal Duct tape Easy to use, worked well on the bathroom vent pipe September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazingly effective Worked great. Sometimes removing the back paper was a little hard but not a big problem. Warning: use protective gloves or you will get multiple cuts from applying the the tape to the ducts. September 14, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the job done Although I recommend it, I would still suggest Shurtape instead due to the glue properties adhere to the duct a lot easier. Anything to make the job easier gets my vote, especially working in attics. September 20, 2016
