Customer Questions & Answers

Would this be suitable for hanging a 32 inch flat screen tv?

I've been on pinterest and wanted to know if this would work for me?
Asked by: Chocsins
My Dad used to say, "there's no such thing as a stupid question"....but this comes close. This product doesn't even have a warranty for hanging pictures, why would you want to hang a TV with it?

Can this be used to hang a headboard?

Its less than 200 pounds.
Asked by: heather
Yes, many motels use clips for that very purpose. However, I would use a longer clip. It doesn't need to have a larger load limit, but, it needs to provide hanging support across more of the headboard so as to avoid someone dislodging it. Also, at a lower level on the headboard you should install a couple of anchor screws into the wall to keep anyone from lifting the headboard.

Yes, but you will need to use masonary screws like Tapcons.

Would this work well for a mantel? I am likely going to counter sink into the barn beam I am using. Thanks!

Asked by: Casey
Probably not. A barn beam is quiet heavy and will require that the support brackets be well anchored into the wall studs.

I am quite sold on this product, but need some feedback before I use them to hang a 23 kilo framed tapestry! I bought two of these picture hangers yesterday to hang a 2m x 1.7m framed tapestry (solid guilded wooden frame) with particle board backing. The backing material is another issue I will deal with in time when I restore it. Do you think placing the picture hangers across the top strip of the frame will take all this weight???? That is one strip of wood holding up the rest of the tapestry from the top. The law of physics (gravity) tells me no. Isn't that like hanging from your fingernails? I would have thought the more traditional method of fasteners in the sides would share the load.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Instructions make no sense Does not come with instructions to speak of. Which part goes on the wall? Depends on which picture you look at. Do the holes go on the top or bottom? Again, pictures are inconsistent. There is a QR code that promises a demo if you scan it on your smartphone, but it leads you nowhere, unless you want to buy another one. Granted, it seems obvious how it should be put together, but with expensive and heavy artwork to hang, I would like to be sure before I get started.

It worked perfectly. Included proper hardware. Good instructions. Loved the plug in level. We will be using this again to hang heavy mirrors. The thing I like most is that you could attach the hardware without applying too much pressure to the object; I was concerned , not anymore. We drilled a starter and screwed into wood, then drilled a started and screwed into the drywall. Almost a gentle application that turned exceptionally sturdy. JE SALUE LES FRANÇAIS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this product to hang a heavy mirror in our master bath. Originally I was going to build a set of french cleats, but found this product in the store and thought I would give it a try. I secured the cleats by drilling into concrete. There are plenty of pre-drilled holes on the cleat which gives you several options when securing to drywall, concrete, studs, etc. The hardware provided would probably do well for drywall, but did not work too well in concrete. I ended up using Tapcons in the concrete, which worked perfectly. Overall I was very pleased with the product. The cleat only added about 1/4 inch between the drywall and the mirror, which was perfect for clearance with the other bathroom items (lighting, faucets, etc). I would definitely recommend this product.
