Rated 5 out of 5 by 25+ Years of solid service! I purchased T1-11 siding for my shed over 25 years ago. I primed the panels and stained them before I put them up. I think, I'm not really sure. It's been over twenty five years! Ha Ha! I re-stained them about 10-12 years ago. This year some of the T1-11 panels have started to rot from the bottom up. The ones with the most damage have been touching ground for several years and have been flooded many times. The worst panels have been covered with ivey and my neighbor stacks his winter fire wood up against them. I'm very happy with the siding and will be replacing them with new T1-11 siding soon this year! If it last as long this time, I will be 90 years old before I have to change it again. Lol, and I won't care! September 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by I LOVE This Stuff! I built a toolshed with this stuff 25 years ago and the sides are still sound. Admittedly, there is no ground contact, but it certainly has been rained on all those years. I also used it to put sides on a metal-frame hauling trailer 15 years ago. THAT has finally started to rot, but it's because I didn't protect the upright exposed cut edge. I will be replacing it with new T1-11 (which is why I'm here now) but adding dodoed pressure-treated 2x4s on the top edge for protection. THAT should be good for 25 years... BTW, the pressure-treated plywood I bought a few months ago for the trailer sides warped badly. T1-11 works better, far more stable. November 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked perfectly for my project Due to water damage I had to replace the siding on the front of my house. A friend suggested this product and it worked great. I primed it before installation and painted it after the nail holes were caulked and it looks great. August 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by quality product really clean siding, cut well and lined up straight October 8, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Split after one year. Re-sided one end of house with this material in March of 2012. Put two coats of primer on before installing. Then painted it with premium Behr paint that also had primer (2 coats). Today June 10,2013, checked the siding and found the surface of the wood has already began to split on 60% of the panels.
