The FC350B (clipped nailer) they sell at the store comes with a case, was wondering if this FR350B (full round) came with a case.

Answer:
No case for this model. Spoke directly with porter cable and there is no case for this model gunumber even though the picture on PorterCable.com shows otherwise. Very unhappy that no protection is provided for an expensive tool. Will be reconsidering my porter cable purchases

Your answer is incorrect. Sometimes they come with a case, and sometimes they don't. It is better ti pick up a phone and call whomever you are purchasing it from. They should know. I have found that even on ebay they don't always come with a case.

Answer:
Hmm. My local HD sells the FC350B in the store and it comes with a case. I'm hoping to buy the FR350B since it's a full head nailer, but I'll have to buy it on-line and nothing in the description states it comes with a case. At the same time though, none of the other nailers state that either, and I know some come with a case. To me, tools in a case just stay so much nicer, many years from now.

Answer:
Home Depot or any lumber yard should have them. I got ours at Home Depot though. And you can use various sizes of nails in this gun.

Answer:
You will have to find a manufacturer that make them (Grip Rite). Home Depot might carry them, but that longest I could find is three and a quarter(3 1/4) inch in either smooth or ring shank.

Answer:
They are occasionally available at Home Depot but are usually bought out by framing contractors as soon as they come in. I use the 3 1/4" 21 degree nails and they hold just fine. You should be able to order them through HD online or at the in-store customer service desk.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 70 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Bought this frame gun to build a storage building and it has made the job a breeze. Shot about 2000 nails through the gun so far and it has worked great. When your running low on nails (5 or less) i recommend putting more nails in the gun so you won't waste those few. It won't shoot the nails when it gets low. Overall great price and quality. Would definitely recommend August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall quality excellent, expecting good results I haven't been able to do anything other than test runs with this using 3.25 galvanized and I can say it has done the best job of the pneumatic nailers I have tried. My only disappointment was that it did not come with a case but HD was definitely the cheapest for a as-new gun. The depth adjustment was easy to use, as was the loading, hangar, and output port direction. I went with this gun based on the reviews and the weight - definitely the lowest weight except perhaps the Bostitch low profile - which some have complained doesn't have enough drive. I did not experience any cases where the nails could not be driven in completely without adjustment. One minor negative is that the unit recommends using Porter Cable pneumatic oil but did not come with any nor could I find any in HD or any of the nearby stores. I ended up using an alternative which seems to work but if you are going to push a maintenance item you should include at least a sample and make sure that your distributors carry your product. I am a DIY using this for some retrofit work so I cannot comment on the long term viability of this gun but it has a very solid feel so I would suspect it would be usable in a professional environment. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Framing Nailer So far so good. Works great and not too heavy. Works perfectly at 100psi. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does its job very well! I used this framing nail gun to a very large fencing project. Used a portable compressor with a 30' hose to allow some movement. The nail gun performed very well with no issues. Well worth the price paid for this tool! A real time-saver! August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good gun Had to buy new nail gun the other day my ridge bit the dust again twice it tore up in a year this gun out shoot the ridge right out of the box I like it July 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid performer My first project was an outdoor hillside stairway. Used the nail gun to fasten all 105 treads. It worked really well. No jams, drove the nails flush, and made the job go way faster. It's a bulky thing. I plan to do some framing next. Will be interested to see how easy it works in tighter quarters. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What a gun! I just framed a 20' x 40' workshop with this gun and WOW! This thing is powerful, easy to use, durable and accurate. I've dropped it, covered it in mud, wedged it in between joists and generally abused it and it just takes the abuse and asks for more. I can toenail with it, line it up to drive nails into brackets, speed nail, etc. I recommend removing the plastic tip, you don't need it. The hook on the back of the gun is really useful as well. I use it to lower the gun down and hook it to my ladder or I'll hook it to my pants when climbing up on something. The safety can be used with one hand, and the depth adjustment works well also. March 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As advertised Used nail gun to put up a fence. Used 3 1/2" and 2" nails successfully. Good gun. April 19, 2016
