Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not built to last Helmet and ear cups are ok however the one size fits all liner is a flimsy plastic piece of junk. Varying the liner size is accomplished by turning a hand knob that has teeth that catch into notches in the plastic liner bands. Adjustment action is difficult and not expected to last long due to plastic construction. Attaching tab set-up that holds liner in helmet is also made of cheap plastic (think coffee can lid plastic) and is also not expected to last. Eye guard is thin mesh screen meant for keeping twigs, branches and sawdust out off the eyes. Dings and dents easily. Not too confident in how it would hold up to a snapped chain or other significant impact. January 11, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by second one in four years... I cut trees and grind stumps for a living. I have no idea what people are complaining about... For the professional daily user, this is great. After 2 years needed to replace it after constant use. Difficult to assemble, not really. Took me 5 minutes. Just look at the manual. Fits great, works great, reliable. Its what I need for daily use. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by spend more to get a better product While this product LOOKS like something you should be wearing just like the pros do, it doesn't perform well, or for for long. After the assembly, the initial fit was good. After putting on and taking off a few times, the earmuffs failed to seal again. I had one ear protected and the other maybe halfway. Also after trying to wear it for one day of work, you can really notice what a cheaply made product it is. I am returning and will spend the extra $20-$30 dollars for a legitimate safety product, not just one that looks like one. April 23, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by chin strap does not fit. VERY POOR assembly instructions. Poor assembly instructions-also difficult to determine fit at first. face screen good-but info unclear whether it is protection from saw dust or a broken chain whipping towards face. December 20, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality product Hard to assemble, perched on top of head. Am returning as soon as I am headed toward Home Depot. Had to ask for carton off of top shelf because there were two opened cartons on the lower shelf probably returns like mine is fixing to be. January 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk! Now that you've wasted a half hour or more on trying to put this thing together, retrieve the almost impossible to read instructions from the trash. They are printed on the plastic bag that I'm sure you discarded. After being assembled, now put it on your head, look in the mirror and laugh! You'll notice that the thing sits way above your head. Now look for your receipt and return it! February 29, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of money!!!! Pure waste of time and money. Darn thing sits up like it has hot air in it. The only hot air is the waste of space on the shelf and your money June 20, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Returned, I'll buy something better elsewhere Would it KILL Power Care to put actual instructions in the single-page, single-sided brochure in the box? They only told you how to put the face shield onto the frame, the ONLY obvious step in the process. It took me 30 minutes of studying and fussing to get the 4 parts onto the helmet. Pros: * Size adjustment works ok for me and will stay on without the lame chin strap. Cons: * The plastic helmet doesn't look like it will protect much more than a ball cap. * The hinge/arm that attaches the shield to the helmet looks like it'll break after a couple days' use. * Face shield doesn't wrap around the side enough in my opinion. * Tells you not to paint or write on it, so you shouldn't write your name on it. How dumb is that? Conclusion: Now that I'm done, and having read others' reviews, I'm returning it. I'll pay more for a quality product that will last as long as my new saw (Stihl, which I bought elsewhere because HD doesn't carry it). May 24, 2014
