Does this have the ability to make SMALL adjustments height, once you get it close to the height you need?
Asked by: brentcindy
Yes. The long black lever extends a solid rod up the center of the adjustable post. You can squeeze to increase the height, as well as increase upward pressure.

I wanted to use something like this as a safety measure prior to removing weight barring wall in the middle of my home and installing a 20 foot beam for my open concept kitchen. The 110 lb rating doesn't seem significant but I was wondering if it would the job because its a 1 and done job.
Asked by: CruiseGirl51
This won't work for your situation. It's too light. You might need to build two temporary frame "walls" to carry the load and support the floor above - one on each side of where you plan to install the beam.

Do the feet pivot like the fastcap 3rd hand so you don't damage the ceiling if it is not perfectly straight and plumb?
Asked by: Fran
Both pads ( top and bottom ) are designed to pivot due to their Ball and socket construction.

I purchased the 10 ft Quick Support Tool to help me with my DIY kitchen remodel project, and I am an experienced DIYer. I was hoping the tool would aid me with wall cabinet installation (I will also be using a temporary ledger on the wall) but that stage of the project is a few weeks off. So far I've used it during installation of a couple of ceiling joists and as a helper for mounting ceiling drywall. I'm so glad to have this tool, it is easy to set up and it works very well. Just make sure to twist the sections securely to assure a rigid support. One other note: the top and bottom feet are not attached to the pole during shipment. It took me a while to figure out that the feet need to be snapped into place and it takes some effort to do this. I recommend this tool for any DIYer. I wish I had it years ago!

Have done the ductwork and performs quite well. Works as a great set of extra hands. Not to the ceiling sheetrock yet, but they seem like they will be useful. Would definitely suggest buying at least two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helpful The tool worked for the intended purpose, installing kitchen cabinets. However, it did fall once and the plastic foot (base ) broke. You need to be extra careful with this tool. Overall, worth the price.
