What adhesive works on these panels

This question is from 2 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. R-7.7 Rigid Foam Insulation
December 1, 2015
I want to use these panels to make pontoons for my small floating barge. I need for each pontoon to be 6" thick so I will need to use some sort of adhesive that will be able to come into contact with water.

Can you tell me if there is any type of adhesive that will allow me to adhere one panel onto another panel. The size of the panel (pontoon) will be 6" Thick X 18" Wide X 7' Long.

I have a large table saw that will allow me to cut the large 4' X 8' into narrower pieces.

I just used regular Gorilla glue for a project I'm working on with this foam. Make sure you weight down the panels (1 at a time) You might want to make your cuts and holes 1st. If there are any remnants or scraps, try them with the Gorilla glue. The glue should work but you could try poking a hole with a thin metal rod threw them all, pull it out and get the next size dowel (wood or plastic)and replace it into the hole. You could heat the metal rod that you use to poke holes, but remember that 1side of this product is aluminum and the heated rod will not penetrate. You'll have to turn it over to see where the hole should be and poke it with a screwdriver or something else to complete the hole. Alternatively, you could try to peel off some of the foil before poking the hole. I'm no expert, just a suggestion. All work, (cutting, gluing, hole boring) should be done in a well ventilated area or outside! Good luck! Read Less

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good for low budget but poor quality: Low R-value/thickness ratio Unless they updated the product info since I've written this, they did NOT include the R-value information in the specs.
