2 in. x 4 ft. Pipe Repair Kit is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work on pressurized lines I can only review this product for my own use. I had an active leak after hours and I could not shut It off. This product does state that you need to shut the pressure off first so shame on me for trying. I have confirmed it cannot seal with pressure from a pin hole leak in a pipe. Sadly that is the most likely use for a such a project. Don't waste your time or money. Call a plumber

Rated 5 out of 5 by from repaired old steam pipes had 2 small leaks on a 2 inch steam pipe and used 2 rolls just to be sure. bottom line - no more leaks but this is meant as a temp fix as that pipe will need to be replaced. after reading one of the reviews I unrolled the tape before soaking it with water for 10 seconds instead of 20, then added more water to the tape after wrapping it on the pipe.

I had a small weeper on a hot water pipe at a T fitting. fixed it no leaks and saved me having to pull a hot water system apart to fix. I will buy more to keep on hand if I need it. Just be sure to follow the instructions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from There are much better by other vendors We purchased two packages to reinforce a patch made with a similar product from another vendor. The Rectorseal, with only 48" of very loosely woven glass cloth is really only enough to do a 1/2" pipe. In addition, it became very tacky within 2 minutes, beginning to rip the inadequate Latex gloves provided. Luckily, I had put hem over a pair of good nitrile gloves. The other product set as predicted over a 15 minute period permitting continuous tightening of the wrap. The Rectorseal patch was unworkable after two minutes. The plastic spool inside the wrap caused it to unroll poorly and gives another piece of trash that is contaminated with the epoxy to dispose of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this to repair a pencil eraser sized hole in a 2" iron steam pipe. The pipe was spewing steam and flooding my basement. I shut the heat off, ran out and picked up this kit. I actually bought two, so now I have an extra one on hand. I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY, i.e. Filed/wiped off pipe, kneaded the included epoxy for 2 minutes, submerged the tape in cold water for 20 seconds, I used the stopwatch on my phone, giving it a good couple squeezes while doing so, then wrapped quickly and worked it with a twisting motion until it became too tacky. I waited a little over an hour and it was hard as a rock, then turned the heat back on, leak is completely fixed. Now I can wait to have a plumber replace the couple of feet of corroded pipe, as opposed to having no heat for days or paying someplace like rotor rooter hundreds of bucks to come out for an emergency repair. Best tip I can give is to read all the directions first, before you start. Wish I could watch a video of all the folks who gave this 1 star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works if you follow directions Albeit it does activate very quickly. If you prep the surface correctly and use the included epoxy putty you'll be fine. Ignore the reviews from the barbarians that can't seem to read directions. We've used this product to repair steam pipes in a steel plant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Despite the bad reviews, I bought it anyway.. Dumb me. The resin catalyzed much too quickly to provide reasonable working time. I was only able to apply maybe half the recommended # of wraps before it hardened.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product was junk. This product was junk. Immediately upon soaking the roll of material as per instructions, I could not unroll it rendering it useless!
