Answer:
You need at least 2-1/4" of clearance from the back of the panel to your sink. If you have this amount you should be fine. Again, by not seeing or knowing more about the installation it is also hard to tell.

Answer:
Yes. But just as important.....The trays are 2" deep. Make sure you allow more than 2" clearance when you close the tray. Also the tray is 3 3/4" tall. You will be happy with the tray if you have enough clearance.

I like this idea but I don't want to pull my kitchen sink out of the counter top/cabinet base to install.

Hello dry,
Thank you for your question.
Although they are much easier to install if the sink isn't installed its very doable with it is installed.

Don't just hit it from behind due to it may break out the face frame of the cabinet. Although it may work it will also cause a lot more trouble.
Once you have the drawer front off follow the manufactures instructions to install the kit. Read Less

11 in. Polymer Tip-Out Sink Front Trays is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product. Needs to be installed right. It was easy to assemble and install. The website is not clear, but there are two types, one for the door attaching to the trays and turning with them, and the other for the door to pivot on hinges. You have to know what you want before you buy it.

This great and not to hard to put in, but make sure the screws you use on the door are NOT to long. The sequence of installation isn't really intuitive, I would recommend drilling all holes first and attach latches to the door then the cabinet. It looks nice and makes the countertop much less cluttered.

This product added valuable functionality to what was previously a useless cosmetic false drawer front. Easy to install. A bit difficult pre-drilling the top hole near the top edge of the opening but it worked just fine. The directions were easy to follow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mark drawer before removing I like these, easy to install after some thought. I didn't mark my door faces before removing them to stay after sanding, staining. My biggest advice is mark the opening on the door faces before taking them off if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Love having the tip out drawers to store sponges, dishwasher packets, etc. Good quality item. Somewhat challenging for me to install on my own but I got it on the first try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME! - but get yourself a 90 degree ratchet screwdriver for install! These are fantastic!! I installed them on both our kitchen and our laundry room faux drawer fronts to maximize our space and storage for unsightly brushes, and sponges. I'm a stay-home mom…the install was NOT hard, but would have been impossible without a 90-degree ratchet screwdriver. Do yourself a favor and get one of those first. With that tool, and a sharpie to make my marks on the hidden side of the drawer front, install was VERY easy…a little putsy but easy. One other tip - make your screw marks, drill pilot hole, but don't tighten until you are SURE they are all lined up right. Good luck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, love them I am in love with the simplicity, space saver and wash ability of these. Can't imagine not having these now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, hard to install I really liked these tip-out shelves once they were installed. However, if you have an existing sink, which I imagine most of us do, get ready for a headache. It's nearly impossible to follow the instructions as written unless you have thirty joints in your arms and eyeballs on tentacles, so get ready to be creative with the installation. In addition, the screws provided are cheap. Two of the heads broke off during installation, so use better screws if you have them. But all in all the product does turn an otherwise useless panel into usable storage space, and even though installation was obnoxious, the outcome was good.
