Answer:
You need at least 2-1/4" of clearance from the back of the panel to your sink. If you have this amount you should be fine. Again, by not seeing or knowing more about the installation it is also hard to tell.

Answer:
Yes. But just as important.....The trays are 2" deep. Make sure you allow more than 2" clearance when you close the tray. Also the tray is 3 3/4" tall. You will be happy with the tray if you have enough clearance.

I like this idea but I don't want to pull my kitchen sink out of the counter top/cabinet base to install.

Hello dry,
Thank you for your question.
Although they are much easier to install if the sink isn't installed its very doable with it is installed.

All of them that I've done have been held in place with right angle plastic pieces that were stapled on. So I was able to grab them with a pair of pliers and just pull the staples out. Don't just hit it from behind due to it may break out the face frame of the cabinet. Although it may work it will also cause a lot more trouble.
Once you have the drawer front off follow the manufactures instructions to install the kit. Read Less

Answer:
We do not recommend this for anything smaller then a 15" opening due to the the size of the hinges. With the hinges, the product sits right about 14.5" but the tightness in this opening may affect performance. You would be better suited with the 11 in. Polymer Tip-Out Sink Front Tray that is also offered on HomeDepot.Com.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I always wanted this product. It keeps my bathroom vanity neat and saves space. I followed the instructions very carefully and it fit perfectly in my bathroom vanity. Great product! December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by performs as advertised Simple and easy to install. Clear instructions. Exelent quality for its purpose. June 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sink front trays The instructions are very hard to understand, even for my husband, a former home remodeling contractor. We ended up making our own accommodations for the trays on the inside of our undersigned cabinet doors (just screws them on) as the hinges would not work with our deep sink. We did not use the hinges supplied. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Kit & Nice Space Saver This is a great little kit. It includes everything you need for install except for the tools – hinges, trays, screws and a nice template that makes drilling your pilot holes dummy-proof. It’s also a great value - I priced out the individual pieces (4 hinges and 2 trays) and it was actually cheaper to go with this kit. This makes for an easy DIY project that can be completed in 30 minutes or so with the proper tools. A couple tips: 1. If you’re cabinets have been painted, be aware that the area behind the false drawer fronts may or may not have been painted and the backs of the drawer fronts almost definitely have not, so have some touch up paint on hand unless you want to see the old cabinet color every time you pull the tray down. 2. Some of the angles you’ll be working at get a little awkward because of the tight space, so while you don’t HAVE to have them, a short, ratcheting screwdriver and/or an electric screwdriver will make this task go much more smoothly. 3. Be sure to trace the outline of the back of the drawer front BEFORE you remove it! Overall, an easy install that allows you to reclaim wasted space – great kit! April 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Fit, Relatively Easy to Install Altough no doubt easier if the sink was removed first, I had no difficulty installing these trays without removing the sink. The key is marking the hole locations first, then drilling pilot holes and pre-tapping the screws in the panels before attaching the panels to the hinges. Using a short phillips screwdriver helps also. If installed properly, the panels close tight and look neat and trim. October 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Practical A little tedious to install, but a definite good use of otherwise wasted space. DJC October 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product and delivery The trays were just what we were looking for - in the right color, too May 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome kitchen/bath addition I've installed these before (kitchen and bathroom, in my primary home. When I was replacing my kitchen sink in my snowbird home, I didn't hesitate to install a set while accessibility was best. They can be installed with sinks in place, but it's a little more difficult. I recommend watching a few videos on YouTube to see the installation process...not difficult. January 5, 2016
