Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible purchase This is tape to put on the back of rugs to make them non-stick. The problem was that the covering on the sticky part of the tape was IMPOSSIBLE to peel off. We (several adults) all tried various methods and none worked. Like the worst case of stuck scotch tape. We are taking it back! June 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your money!! Hard to separate the clear protective covering from the tape. The adhesive on the tape does not stick. July 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Roberts Rug Traction The tape will probably work for small pieces of rug/carpet ie. entrance rug, bathroom rugs, & computer mat. Heavy duty area rugs are not meant to be kept in place with this product. Easy Install: Pair of shears are needed Value: If purchased for small rugs Appearance: Will be hidden October 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does a Terrible Job We used this on a rug in our living room and within a few days it had stopped offering any grip. The rug slips on our wooden floor as if this weren't even there. November 3, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful Product This product is not well made or engineered, especially how much it costs for a tiny roll. The backing does not come off, cleanly or otherwise. When we finally got the backing to disengage from the fuzzy layer, it is so thin it ripped unevenly almost immediately. The bond between the cellophane backing and the tape seems to be stronger than the bond between tape and carpet, and while separating the backing random tufts of the fuzzy layer (aka the sticky part) would come up with it, leaving non-sticky, useless patches in my $10 roll of tape. The package recommends covering the entire back side of your carpet with the gripper, but on a 5x7 carpet the 25' was only enough to cover the edges. The gripping ability is mediocre at best, the carpet can still move around a bit. May 25, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work on our application We have a small area rug placed on a corner of a room- sized carpet, intended to reduce wear and tear on an area we walk on constantly between two rooms. The rug tape we placed on the smaller rug doesn't work at all, and the rug shifts underfoot constantly. May 14, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No help We have hard wood floors and needed a non slip tape to keep the rugs in place... with this around all the edges the rugs still slip like I am ice skating! BAD! February 23, 2010
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Wash The Rug! Put in on small rug on carpet in Dining Room. Rug did slid around a little, but nothing like a different brand we had used before. Now the problem........absolutely DON'T wash any rug with this tape on it! Washed the small rug and two area's of the tape came completely off. Once off, tape can not be put back on rug. Put rug back down on carpet, with two of four pieces of tape on rug, but have found out the glue from the tape stays on the rug! Went to adjust the rug and the glue, and part of the rug, is sticking to our carpet now. Will leave rug where it's at for now. Never gave it a thought about what would happened if rug needed washing!
