AirGuard provides the moisture barrier, sound reduction and cushioning, all 3-in-1, required for a proper, quality installation. AirGuard is the only underlayment manufactured with both Microban and air flow technology to inhibit mold growth. Microban inhibits the growth of odor and stain causing bacteria, mold and mildew. The air flow technology creates a pocket of constantly circulating air to further inhibit mold growth. The 8 in. overlap film protects floors from moisture. Sound suppression characteristics make air guard perfect for installation in multi-level buildings. For more information, please refer to the product data sheet under the more info tab below.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than the other products We have a room in our house that used the other paper products with the bubbles and we do not like it. Snaps, crackle and pops every time you walk. This product is nice, soft and sturdy. The only negative I can stay is I wish the sticky stuff was made better and able to stick to everything.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to work with It was our first time installing hard wood flooring. Went down really easy . Cutting was easy. It sticks to help line up the next row. Instructions clear. Cheaper than cork, which was recommended for our project, but more expensive than other similar underlayments. Price was comparable to quality of product. January 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product makes laying laminate wood floors a breeze. I am really pleased with 3-In-1 Airguard Underlayment I purchased from Home Depot. The tape strip really keeps the pieces in place and I feel secure knowing that the water moisture protection is built right in. Love it. April 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Product was easy to work with. The adhesive backing strip had poor adhesion but was adequate. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I used sheathing tape to ensure a good seal where there were multiple intersections. Make sure to use good, sharp, scissors or knife to cut in order to avoid tearing and getting the little white foam balls all over the place. With a sharp blade, this was not an issue. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Underlayment Used this underlayment for my engineered hard wood. My installer really liked using it, it makes the floor feel wonderfully soft underfoot with a nice cushion. I have read that some underlayments make a plastic sound or make the floors sound hollow. This underlayment has no issues with sound. This underlayment is a little more expensive but worth it! June 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Laminate Flooring Upgrade We recently finished upgrading our original contractor grade carpeting to Hampton Bay Natural Worn Oak laminate flooring. We used Kilz stain blocker to remove a persistent cat smell then used Roberts AirGuard as an underlayment. It works great, it is easy to transport and simple to put down (it comes with preinstalled tape). The pieces were easy to trim and install in tight corners. As an added bonus the micro ban beads also seem to work as a simple sound proofing method between floors. I highly recommend this product for the DIYr that expects nothing less than excellent. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the good stuff it has a good thickness to it, the plastic layover piece and adhesive is pretty cool. a piece of duct tape to hold your sheets in place works well also. i wish it was a bit cheaper but you pay to play. i'm looking at order the cheaper $10 stuff online because the 2 in 1 isnt exactly "needed", but the thickness is an added bonus. the end pieces are not always exactly straight, over the last week i payed 13 rolls of this. a good sharp blade and it's easy to cut and if you take a laminate piece and line it up with the printing and make your cut. i would say this underlayment IS a good investment, remember, a good laminate floor will last you 10+ years anyways especially devoid of moisture influenced environments such as a kitchen or bathroom. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Premium underlayment for wood flooring Used this premium underlayment for replacing a floor in a beach house. Previous vinyl flooring trapped moisture causing some "dry rot" to plywood subfloor. This product will deal with that issue. Also due to structural settling (house is on pilings), this product accomodated some uneveness in the subfloor for the newly installed quick-lock bamboo wood flooring. Costs quite a bit more than the basic plastic moisture barrier, but compared to the cost of the floor and avoiding potential future damage to the subfloor is a good invetment in my opinion.
