Customer Questions & Answers

Does this shed still have front doors and back doors so you can drive your riding mower through?

I use to sell alot of these sheds because they had front and back doors, do they still have front and back doors? Thank you.Tammy

The shed only has front doors.

are the doors on the length or the width?

Asked by: Anonymous
Doors on one end....good because you don't have to turn the rider mower, or anything else, to get it inside, wasting floor space.

After patient assembly on level ground this shed is a very spacious, very durable, very enjoyable , and very leak proof. I recommend the 2x6 roof beam reinforcement detailed in the owners manual. Ideal for bike storage if bike locked securely and not in carton. Security is the one weak point--a very substantial weakness--because a lock in the door hasp works to a trespasser's/thief's advantage for breaking in and breaking the lock hasp; which furthermore is not designed to be anywhere near easily replaced. After losing 2 premium mowers ($800plus) all lawn maintenance equipment ($600plus) and other tools and an old bike and new bike in carton ($270) I wish I had built a fence and gate around the shed. Now, I just have a very nice, empty shed. I recommend the shed if you have inside or secure site to locate it on, or a way to block access to the door. Rubbermaid needs to rethink the lock mechanism from the viewpoint of less vulnerable locking or, at least replace-ability of the hasp so readily broken to get inside. Another idea would be modification to allow the door to be user chained in addition to hasp locking--for example, two invulnerable eyelets on the sides or corner and a chain eye or support in a door to support owner's chain across front of doors. My rating is not tops only because the $900 investment cost my two "shed's worth" and more in losses; and because there is no competitor product on the market. So average it actually a compliment and the shed cannot be better than itself..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE Roof panels are sub par is an understatement. Cheap flimsy doors that'll never close correctly no matter what adjustments or shimming you can try to do. Once I finally got the whole shed assembled and it was time to snap and screw everything into place, the whole shed appears to have warping twist to it that made it near impossible to finalize installation. I wouldn't recommend this shed to anyone and I feel like I've been ripped off completely of the money I spent on this product.

My son and my granddaughter's husband assembled the shed in 1 1/2 hrs. I don't know if this is typical because they are both very handy. I read the reviews before purchase and it seems that some purchasers had some problems. We did no

I called Rubbermaid and was told I HAD to have my receipt or they could not send me parts. Would I want parts from this company if they had not screwed up the shed I purchased? NO! It was the WORST customer service phone call and support I ever received in my life. Good luck with this company if you dare. I will update the review once I assemble and let you know if all the hassle was even worth it. This is a VERY expensive plastic shed so you better be prepared and Inventory all your parts just like we did before you start so you know up front what is missing. And don't lose your receipt from home depot like we did LOL. Rubbermaid will slap you in the face if you do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME sheds We have the Big Max and Big Max ultra and have had them for almost 14 years now and they have never leaked and are still going strong to this day. We have taken them apart and put back together for two moves and that is after the initial set up from the house we owned when we bought them and not a problem other than on the Ultra the doors stick a bit. We live in NH and they have gone through some really tough winters with a TON of snow through these 14 years. They have been worth EVERY penny we paid for them. We only wish they made even bigger ones.

I just recently purchased this shed and this product is highly over rated and a complete pain to assemble even with two people. The walls and roof pieces do not easily fit together and three of the six roof sections are warped. I did not know composite material could warp like these sections have. I have had three other Rubbermaid sheds and not had a problem with assembly or function until this model. All I can figure is this shed is just to big and bulky for snap together pieces and would not recommend this Rubbermaid shed to anyone!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Challenging to assemble Not to difficult to assemble, but the instructions could've been clearer. Some of them were vague, some were contradictory, and some went to great lengths to attempt to explain a simple point (ex, barely discernible paragraphs that could've said "insert tab a into slot b", as if poorly auto-translated, or something. Some parts, roof panels especially, didn't fit quite as easily as they should have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need to improve tolerances Took two of us and very smart recommendations from my wife to assemble. Five hours. Putting together the roof was pretty difficult. Tolerance of the roof beam-channel make the roof panel installation quite a challenge. Hint: Almost give up went installing the fifth (middle) roof panel. It wouldn't clamp to the beam. Need to clamp it out of position and slide it and finally force it into position.
