Customer Questions & Answers

Will 2 QT. be enough to paint a stove?

Asked by: sekacyattp2969
We would not advise using this product on surfaces that could come into direct contact with flames or go above 200°F. The coverage for Stainless Steel is approximately 120 sq.ft./quart for 2 coats.

goes on any surface? need primer? steel paint

Asked by: Anonymous
Rust-Oleum Specialty Stainless Steel Paint is meant to be applied to wood and metal surfaces. The use of Rust-Oleum primer is recommended for bare wood and metal to provide adhesion and hiding. A good primer to use would be Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Clean Metal Primer.

can i use rust-oleum stainless steel paint on the kitchen stove?

Asked by: Anonymous
I only used it on the bottom drawer and the handle where it doesn't get hot. It says. Do not use over 200 degrees. Even though I did not do the whole stove, it tied the look together with the rest of the appliances.

1 Qt. Stainless Steel Paint (2-Pack)-DISCONTINUED is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Good I had my kitchen redone. My appliances were different shades of white, but worked fine. So I wanted the stainless look and painted them. Looks good. Not exactly like stainless but 100 % better than before. Hope paint holds up and never peels.
