Answer:
You just have to keep in mind that the wood may draw the paint in and you will be able to see the grain or the knots of the wood. Cheap paint usually does not have as much pigment then paint at this coat and I would think that you would be ok overall.

Answer:
It is always best to use a primer, however many of the modern paints do very well without a primer.
It is your choice. If your wicker is exposed to weather and sun you are better using a primer first. If it is used indoors or under a protective cover you will be happy with a good quality paint that says it is a primer and paint.

No. It works fine without it. Even going from dark brown to white. I also painted bare MDF on the airplane that I made.

This product is an oil based product and has a lot of fumes. The microwave won't hurt the paint after it has completely dried however you are going to smell and taste the thinners in the pain for a long time.
I don't recommend it.

Answer:
You will need to do several coats to cover the black.
This paint covers better than most however putting white over black is rather difficult. Start with a very light coat and keep adding light thin coats allowing several hours of dry time between coats at room temperature.
Good luck

Hi Saima,
Yes, you may paint your tool white, you may need more than one coat to completely cover the black.

Answer:
Not the best choice.
If your bird likes to bite the wires on the cage then this paint could be toxic for the bird.
If your bird does NOT bite the wires on the cage then go ahead but let it dry for several days in a warm room or put it in the warm sun.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ruined simple diy project Zero stars! There is obviously an issue with rustoleums white spray paint!!! I have used their paint in various colors for other projects..even today i had another piece i was painting with key lime color, no problem! This is my worst spray paint job to date and i pride myself on being good at spray painting!!! Never have i had such a problem with dripping, sand texture, crackling..all of the things other reviewers are saying! Didnt think to read reviews in advance because, as i said, never had such a problem! $8 for paint, $17 for chair that i loved!..now have to trash it all or spend more time and money to strip and try to salvage. Beyond angry and disappointed!!! May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does a Great Job! Used this product to paint an outdoor table (metal), several pieces of white wicker furniture, a few metal objects, and one plastic storage box. The paint went on smoothly, covered well, and dried quickly on each of the projects. High quality product. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Spray Pain Ever Sprays on easily, dries very quickly - love it! Awesome March 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Paint I do all my own home repairs and always have a wood working project in process that I am tinkering with. Recently I found a very old worn out kids red radio flyer wagon. The wood was shot but the metal parts were in reasonable shape. I figured my grand daughter would love a nice red wagon. I replaced all the wood pieces and sanded down the metal parts and repainted them. I used this product on the wood and metal parts. It covered very nicely and the colors are great. The spray pattern is very nice and allows for easy coverage. It dries fast and hard and looks good. I also used Rustoleum paint to repaint my black aluminum metal mail box and post. It still looks great after two years and I don't expect to repaint it for another two or three years. January 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst paint ever I didn't have a big job. Just 2 wire frames for the shades of a 50's lamp. After 52 hours, the paint was still sticky to the touch, and too sticky to re-attach the fiberglass shades without wrecking them. The stuff just would not cure. I have been using spray paint for years, and the can was more than adequately shook. The good thing is that it came off very easily with a little laquer thinner, I went to the other big box home improvement store and got a can of another brand that behaved the way you expect spray paint to behave. I will have to think twice about ever using a Rust-oleum product again. October 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Paint! I'm not sure what other reviewers are referring to but I have used this product on projects all over the house on many different types of material including plastic and it has be wonderful! It covered great, dried quickly and has stood the normal wear and tear. I also used the Rust-Oleum Protective Gloss coat to keep the paint protected as well. I would highly recommend this product! November 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Paint! I bought this product with high hopes and being as it was prime and paint thought it would save me some time. I painted 4 shelves 22 inches by 4 inches and it took 3 cans! Coverage was very poor and the paint came out fuzzy at times even with the can being shaken the whole time almost. After letting the shelves dry which took forever I put them in my bathroom and I now have this oily odor that I cannot get out unless I remove the shelves. This paint has cost me not only the paint but the wood that I invested in doing this job. I would not recommend this paint for any project unless you have money and time to burn. July 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst product I have ever used. After more than 40 years as a professional painter this product is in contention for the worst I have ever used. Rustoleum should call this spit because the paint does not spray, but spits out of the can, regardless of how much you shake it. September 14, 2015
