Rust-Oleum Clean Metal Spray is suitable for use on wood surfaces. Additional coats may be needed depending on how much paint the wood soaks up. We recommended applying light and even coats a few minutes apart for the best results.

Customer Reviews

12 oz. Clean Metal Primer Spray Paint is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff I'm painting an old metal tool chest, some sanded paint, some bare metal, some light surface rust. This primer went on really well although I haven't used spray paint in a while and got a few runs. I'm really impressed with how well it sands, can't remember the last time I used primer that sands this well. But make sure to let it dry for the full 48 hours before sanding or it will load up the sandpaper rapidly. Don't know how ding resistant it is but it seems to have adhered well to all the different surfaces.
