I would say no. There are specialized paints and dyes for cloth. Check with your fabric store or possibly an automotive supplier.

This spray can has to be THE WORST cap I have ever used. I removed the red lock, shook the can for almost two minutes and then started spraying some wooden legs for my wife's craft desk. The paint did not come out uniformly and it ran all over my hands and coated the spray can. I finished one leg and had to wash my hands with pumice soap to get the paint off of my hand. Then I put on gloves in preparation to finish the other three legs. And of course the first thing you do when your going to spray again is to shake the can again to make sure it is still mixed well with the aerosol. Well, what ever paint that was miss sprayed inside the cap came out upon shaking and got all over me and the drive way. I'll start looking for another brand if they think this is a good spray nozzle design.

All in all it's a good look paint that provides good coverage when you follow the directions, but there are a few problems. I used it to paint a high shine brassy Hunter ceiling fan, which turned out nice. My primary issue is that when lightly scratched the paint comes off very easily. I assume it's because of the glossy nature of the metal that I painted but since my fan is high up and won't be touched often it works for me. One other issue I had with the 2nd can is that it sprayed almost a textured cracked look. I double checked the can and I had the right one. I followed the directions but suspect that since it was in the first few sprays it was splotchy. Sadly it ruined part of the project but worked out okay in the end. Unlike other reviewers I did not experience difficulty with the nozzle but the paint didn't go as far as I expected. I assume that is because it's paint and primer in one.

Yes, the nozzle is a bit different than the traditional ones, but it works quite well -- sprays well at an angle and sprays in a vertical line shape rather than a circle, which I liked. Coverage was as expected, finish was excellent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE Do not waste your time or money messing with this product. I have used many spray paints as I paint a lot of furniture! The trigger is extremely hard to use, is messy(got all over my hands) and takes a long time to get your job accomplished. I am very disappointed in Rustoleum that they would actually allow this. The paint itself probably is excellent. I think you would be much better off to purchase Rustoleum Painters touch 2X which is a great spray paint.

We used it on two oxidized aluminum window frames and it was excellent for the application. Our newly fabricated and installed (DIY) Arbor over the aluminum windows looked incomplete with the oxidized aluminum frames; a correction that was quickly achieved with this product. After a thorough dusting and washing we masked the glass and surrounding areas and applied the satin white primer/paint. It went on well and after two coats the windows looked new. We liked the results so much that we plan on doing the rest of the house's oxidized aluminum framed windows. See before and after photos below.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Paint and Spray I have ever used. I bought three cans of this and had to use all three to get adequate coverage. Worst part is the spray design and spray trigger. Uncomfortable trigger and the spray pattern varied widely among the 3 cans. One produced more of a fog with most of the paint wasted in the air. All produced irregular spray patterns. The paint was also very runny with no texture. I spray paint a whole lot. I made the mistake of not reading reviews first because I trusted the Rustoleum name. No more.

Leaked around the trigger and dripped all over my hand and the project ruining it. Taking it back to Home Depot for a refund. Can't get back to the store fast enough. This seems to be a fairly common problem based on the reviews I see - should have checked the reviews before buying. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Rust-Oleum needs to go back to the drawing board on this new product.
