Customer Questions & Answers

The specs show 3 year warranty but the warranty from Homelite show 2 years. Which is correct?

Asked by: etp1280
Thank you for asking, Etp1280. The warranty on this pressure washer is 3 years from the date of purchase. Our warranty covers for repairs of manufacturing defects. However, the Honda engine carries a 2 year warranty. I hope this helps and we appreciate your interest in Ryobi! -Keri

What is it hard to pull the cable to start the power washer? I just bought it..

Asked by: Bianca
Thank you, Bianca. If you are having difficulties starting this pressure washer, please bring it in to an authorized service center for a proper diagnosis. But before you do, please try pulling the trigger to release some of the built up pressure and see if that works.

Will this remove paint from concrete?

I need to clean off the concrete from my swimming pool and would like to pressure wash it. Is it possible and what kind of tips are recommended? Thanks, Matt
Asked by: Lane
Thank you for asking, Lane. You may use this tool around the house for cleaning most small to large horizontal or vertical exterior surfaces, smaller exterior objects and structures, and outdoor equipment and tools. You can: *Clean or remove mold and mildew from weathered decks, driveways, patios, walkways, sidewalks, etc. *Remove dirt from various exterior vertical surfaces such as house exteriors, siding, fences, brick, concrete or stone walls, etc. *Wash boats, outdoor furniture, powered or non-powered garden equipment, gutters, window screens, grills, playground equipment, etc. I hope this helps and we appreciate your interest in Ryobi! -Keri

3100-PSI 2.5-GPM Honda Gas Pressure Washer with Idle Down is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 748.

Where others reviewers have had trouble with engine performance, carb or idle, i've had none of that. I do have issues with an overall poor design, though. First, the water ports are located at the rear bottom of the unit, which makes accessing them very difficult. and the handle is cantilevered out over the engine, which is very odd. and coupling the water port locations with the odd handle, it makes it virtually impossible to tip the unit backwards and move it while water lines are hooked-up. Also, the fuel tank is in a really awkward position (who has a funnel close by when you're in the middle of a wash job?) and makes spills almost guaranteed. Not a great experience.

Fast forward 6 months and its a piece of junk. When you first start it the pressure is intermittent, fades in and out. Something inside the handle broke and the handle is stuck in the "on" position. It goes through fuel surprisingly fast too. The 3100 psi claim is false as well, its more like 2100 psi. For $400 i expected something a little better than a light use power washer. I wish i spent a few bucks more on a better one. Save your money on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Little Bad Boy Bought the machine to do some work around the house and love it. Has great power, good idle down, & great cutting power. We recommend getting a turbo nozzle with the machine to increase performance. The only draw back is the short hose that it can with. Its easy to use & worth the extra money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Power Washer at a Great Price Quick easy set up. Started on the 2nd pull. Overall a great piece of equipment. Some of the features that pushed me to this model that I really love are: 1) Slow idle when not pumping water. Saves fuel and my ears. Idles very quietly. 2) Quick change nozzle . Changes pattern spread and soap application in an instant without having to keep track of different tips. 3) On board soap tank eliminates carrying a bucket and diluting solutions. 4) Very flexible pressure hose resists kinking. The only thing it loses points for is that the fuel tank could be better located for easier filling. The frame gets in the way when using a large gas can but a funnel would take care of that problem.

I got a replacement and it worked ok, except the handle always leaks and you get soaking wet while using it. Now, this one has the engine locking up and Home Depot said they could send it out to be repaired, but it would be 6-8 weeks. I paid for a washer to have during spring cleanup and it will be June before I get it back. I kept the oil level correct, so I know it's not that.

Requirements for non-ethanol fuel and need for fuel stabilizer could be a bit clearer; several trips back to the store needed in my case. (I'm not much of a motorhead!).

The other problem, after finding a new unused Power Washer in a sealed box had a number of parts missing, no hardware, no manual and no spray head. Still looking to receive the manual and hardware to attach hose and sprayer. The people at Ryobi are helpful, but this purchase was very time consuming to get a washer that was unused and worked.
