Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NightWolf Picked up on a whim
Picked this up from the local Home Depot on a whim as I had been starting to look at "multi tools" Found many uses for it including the very next day after purchase when refinishing/repairing our front deck. The grout remover blade will be getting a workout shortly as we are about to renovate our master bath. The built in light is handy as I can never seem to get enough light on anything I'm working on

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RayH STAY AWAY! Damages battery! Ryobi will not honor warranty to replace battery without a receipt!
I recently purchased the JobPlus P340. I used the tool for about 20-30 minutes (not consecutively) with my P102 battery. When I pulled the battery out to use in my drill, I notice on the battery, I guess you would call it the stem, an indentation near the bottom and near the top just below the contacts. (See photos) This appears to be damaged due to the vibrations of the JobPlus tool. My concern is, how long before it wears a complete hole into my battery. I feel I now have a unsafe battery due to the damage from the P340. I asked Ryobi how I could replace the battery free of cost as I feel it was damaged due to your own product. I also asked If this is a know issue and is there a fix other than returning for refund. Given their statement below, I returned ALL of my Ryobi tools! I only wish I could return the drill/driver kit my battery came from that is now damaged, it's beyond the 90 day return window.
"There is a program called Direct Ship. If you purchased just a battery/charger you must have the receipt for the 3 yr warranty. If there is not a receipt, the single battery/charger will not be covered for warranty. You would take the receipt, battery, a charger and a tool to any Home Depot for the direct ship warranty program. The store associate will examine the items and file a warranty claim on their portal. Once Ryobi receives the claim they will verify the warranty and an order will then be placed for a new battery/charger to be shipped to you. If the battery/charger was part of a tool kit, you take the battery, charger and tool from that kit for warranty and the serial number from all items should match and will be used for the warranty. The store associate will examine the items and file a warranty claim on their portal. Once Ryobi receives the claim they will verify the warranty and an order will then be placed for a new battery/charger to be shipped to you. ***If the store associate has any questions they should contact Ryobi while you are at the store."

I own several One Plus tools, and for the most part I really like them. However, Ryobi seems to have sacrificed a lot of quality in their newer green colored products compared to the older blue ones; more specifically the trigger switches, which are incredibly poor quality. This multi-tool has a lot of good attributes and works very well. The fact that it's compatible with all of the Rigid tool heads is a real plus, but again, the trigger switch is very poor quality. Also, there is a piece of molded square reinforcement inside the hand grip that chews its way into any battery stem. You are in for a real surprise the first time to go to remove the battery, it almost seems like it has been glued in. This is a tool that works on the principle of vibration; you would think Ryobi would have tested that.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by defuller Great tool, BUT...
This a great and very versatile tool. I have loved using it for everything from cutting through sheetrock to install a cut-in electrical box, to cutting the corroded bolts off a toilet tank. I also purchased a right-angle drill attachment head for it and like being able to drill or drive screws in tight spaces that my regular drill/driver won't fit. BUT... I have gone through 2 of these now. They last about a year and then the contact tabs in the battery well break off, and it just quits in the middle of a job! It has a 2 year warranty, but I hate being without this very handy tool day to day on the jobsite while having to wait for shipping each way. So for light, occasional use it might be fine. But for daily use by a contractor I wouldn't recommend it. I'm going to attach a picture so you can see what I mean about the tabs breaking off.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Msurff Cool tool!
I am currently doing an engineered hardwood glue down on the whole first floor of my newly build home. Needed a multi-tool and I had already purchased a Ryobi lithium combo kit so I got this toy! It did it's job and as others have said... wish there was more to do. Master Bath, 2 bathrooms and laundry room is up for tiles... can't wait to use it. Great design. Battery pack end squares up nicely on the ground while lifting the front end with a piece of hardwood for perfect cut. Only other issues are that it does overheat if you use it continuously and the battery just dies (it was through a metal threshold), but that's why you have two! I'm going to get the Ryobi cordless nailer next week. They're doing things right at Ryobi.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ScarfaceSix An Excellent Tool!
I used this tool on a project and my neighbors observed how it worked and asked to borrow it for their project. I agreed, and two months later, I bought this tool because the neighbor found "more stuff" to do with the borrowed one! It is excellent for lrage or mall area sanding project, cutting into wood near the center of the piece, and MANY other uses. I love this tool!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SteveL Feels solid and works great
Used the tool for sanding and it exceeded expectations. Easy to control. Cordless feature is handy. Nice addition to my Ryobi collection. Lacks a quick change feature but that is a minor issue for me.

I bought this to replace a corded version. This actually works much better than the corded version I previously had.
