Yes, this is how the sanding attachment works. It is a pretty durable loop and pile and sometimes I have a tough time getting the sanding pad off.

Yes. Very easy to attach and remove. You have to pull pretty hard to remove, but that indicates it grips the sanding sheets well.

You must use an allen wrench to change blades when using the tool head that comes in the kit. A quick change head is available for the Rigid Job Max that will fit this tool though, and it is highly recommended for professionals.

The longer you work, the more tired you become, and the more likely you are to start wandering with the tool. I've found that putting a small block of wood under the rear of the tool helps considerably. Rest the tool on the block, and just push the block along the grout lines. Your hands aren't suspending the tool in the air, and are left free to simply guide the tool along.
I also use the tool for removing a VERY small amount of the grout's surface when it can no longer be cleaned. I then reseal the remaining grout and the results look new. Read Less

Answer:
Yes, it's great for that. You just have to buy a grout-removal attachment. Dremel
and Bosch attachments are known to fit. Other brands may fit too, but the Ryobi
JobPlus comes with an adapter specifically for those two brands.

ONE+ 18-Volt JobPlus Base with Multi-tool Attachment (Tool-Only) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 179.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extremely useful and flexible Used this two or three dozen times since buying it. Changed a bunch of tile and rotted flooring using a grout-saw attachment and a bi/metal cutter. Just kept going. Love adding this to my Ryobi-One+ stable. Great that it uses all the standard multi-tool blades, sanding heads, etc. I can get these for almost any job in almost any place. I would love to try a different job plus tool but I'm not made out of money! In some situations the tightening screw seemed to get loose a few times. This was a minor annoyance. It is difficult to remove the multi-tool hard from the job plus base. With the multitool attachment this is very important for some hard-to-reach locations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well but..... This tool works well and has come in handy on several occasions. However, this is a "Multi-Tool" with a detachable head, but Ryobi doesn't bother to make ANY other attachments. That's right, if you want to buy any other attachments, you have to purchase a different Brand (they are universal). Ironically, other brands offer the right angle drill attachment and Ryobi sells a Right Angle drill - but it is a solid unit which means that the head does not detatch. I can only guess that Ryobi does this to force you to buy another complete tool. I have over 20 Ryobi products and used to be a huge fan - but that is no longer the case. I will be switching Brands as there are several better ones with smaller, lighter, and more powerful tools - even if they are a little bit more expensive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works good but not durable This was purchased to replace an identical item that quit working at Less than two years old. I am disappointed at the durability and would have bought a different brand had it not been for my large stock of batteries for 18V Ryobi tools. Definitely the worst service out of a lot of Ryobi tools that I own.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Got a lemon? Disappointed Ryobi ONE+ 18V Jobplus Base with multitool attachment. My son and I together have several of the tools in the Ryobi ONE+ cordless line-up plus batteries and two chargers which we share. We have been mostly pleased with all of them (the line trimmer has been a Godsend on 2-acre lot and circular saw also great). I was looking forward to purchasing and using this multitool (never owned one before), so was summarily disappointed when it failed after the first 10 minutes of normal use. The oscillating power shaft stopped moving through its normal range of angular motion when under even a slight load. It made noise but moved about 1 degree at most - would sometimes kick in to normal motion intermittently when not under load. Quite sure that this is not just a matter of the blade slipping on the oscillating shaft. I don't wish to denigrate any other tools in the line-up by giving this one a poor score, and I may only have gotten the unique lemon out of 1,000 tools, but there should be NO LEMONS and I am compelled not to recommend this one. What else can I do?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great multi-tool attachment Good multi-tool attachment. It got the job done of sawing off the baseboard that I needed to get removed. The cutting tool is pretty strong. I like how you can change the head of the saw so it can be in different 90 degree angle with respect to the handle. I already own the Ryobi drill and driver which also uses the 18-volt battery so I didn't have to buy an extra battery for this tool. So far, I am happy with this multi-tool.

I bought this for some work around the house where I couldn't get a circular saw into. I also wanted to try it out in general, but the former was my excuse to the wife for getting it. It's definitely not intended for heavy duty use. trying to carve out a section of a 2x4 was a little above what this was intended for. It did the job, but went through batteries fast. It'll take a few more projects using this to get the hang of it, and really appreciate it's applications. I also like the fact that it will accept the various Rigid heads available.

This thing works great, a previous reviewer said cutting a 2x4 is a little beyond this tools capability. I'd like to correct the review, cutting a 2x4 is beyond the blades it comes with capability. Do yourself a favor and by a good blade when you buy it, The blades it comes with are less than stellar. I was quite disappointed when I first tried to use it, but after slapping a bosch hardwood blade on, its cutting through 2x4's like butter. Making the otherwise difficult task of removing sections of water damaged lumber quite easy.
