Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sawdustr Good for Occasional DIYers
I began migrating my cordless tools from B&D to One+ stuff about a year and a half ago. I watched the price on the bare tool version of this for some time. Then the holiday sale came along and here it was with a battery and charger for $20 cheaper than the bare tool sale price and the shipping was free.
I have only used it once on a fairly light duty job, driving 2" deck screws through OSB into framing lumber. It handled it just fine, however it didn't feel quite as strong as my old NiCd B&D. I am going to try one of the high capacity batteries to see if that helps. I think it is a good choice for homeowner DIY projects, especially at the price I paid.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Route66rider Handy tool and grat value.
I was looking at this for about a month and last week I saw it was on sale for $49.99 at our local store. I grabbed it as it did come with both a battery and a charger. The charger that comes with this package only does a longer and slower charge. However, as I do have several other Ryobi tools with the faster charger that wasn't a problem. I can always use this new one for over night charging if needed.
I needed to extend my vertical board fence about 50 feet and hang a pair of five foot wide gates on my six foot tall board fence and it did and excellent job.
As far as the price, I feel like I just bought a new battery and was given the tool.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HopALong2222 Good impact for the money
I use this around the house and in my shop. It keeps me from pulling out my construction tools in my trailer every time I get a small project. I like everything about this impact except it isn't a quick input for the bits like my Dewalt. To put in and take out bits you must pull the retention collar forward. On my Dewalt it's a simple push in but then pull the collar to remove your bit. I really like the magnet that Ryobi puts on the base. It's very handy when you have multiple screws or nuts to fasten.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by donf Great tool! Was sceptical but turns out really useful
I wasn't sure if I needed an impact drill but it has been very handy. The other day, the washing machine needed to be taken apart. The impact drill with the socket adapter made the job of getting bolts out so easy and fast. This unit is light and compact. It is not a regular cordless drill as it does not have variable torque control nor the level of variable speed. So as expected, the "impact" does better where raw power is needed whereas the drill allows for much finer control of setting screws.

Spent days working old rusted screws and bolts til I broke down and got the impact driver. Did in seconds what I couldn't do in days. It is awesome!!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bluedrum Awesome tool!
Ryobi has the best cordless tools on the market. And the impact driver is no exception. Powerful, easy to use, great balance, extremely durable. Batteries last and hold a great charge.
Ryobi is equal to Dewalt, Makita, Bosch and better than Milwaukee, Black and Decker!
I still use all the tools in a 8 piece kit from 14 years ago. Including chain saw, reciprocating saw, small circular saw, hammer drill, saber saw, flashlight. The drill finally gave up last year after 100's hrs of use.
The price is much less than the others and the batteries are half the price.
You can't go wrong with this tool!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ElderJim A great price if you already have a charger
This was a bargain since I already of the charger from my other Ryobi tools, so I won't use the strange little charging cap that came with it. Works fine, although it's easy to strip the screw heads if you are not careful. I really like the compact size--was vital when installing a customized drawer in my wife's bathroom vanity.
