I bought this on Black Friday 2015 with the recommendation from my nephew that it was well worth the price. He was absolutely correct. My brother used the entire kit to remodel my bathroom and loved it especially having two batteries included in the kit. I use the sawsall to trim my trees and really liked it because it was lightweight. I'm buying my brother the kit as a gift for remodeling my bathroom for me. He will be thrilled! I call it my Ryobi "Grinch Green" tool kit :)

I was doing some door replacements at home and needed the vibrating cutter to trim vinyl siding and remove trim carefully, the cheapest I could find was $99 for a corded one. This kit had that , a drill, an impact driver, Key-less reciprocating saw, circular saw and a flashlight with 2 Lithium Ion batteries. the run time is a little shorter than the yellow and black (Brand name omitted) products I have used but these charge in only 30 min. I have used every tool in the kit (except the flashlight) more than once and am very happy with the performance, I have always used corded circular saws but the cordless one in the kit is amazingly handy, just pull it out and go, quick and easy. Overall I don't think you can beat it for the price.

Pros: $300 retail and was on sale for $200 during Black Friday. Comes with two batteries (which you'll need), each charge quickly and have a charge meter built in. Circular saw has a built in laser guide. Comes with case. Not bad for a regular DIY type. Cons: The batteries are a little "sticky" to remove and insert plus they don't seem to last very long, but you can buy one that does. The power of the tools seems a little limited but I don't have much to compare against; the Reciprocating saw struggled to get through the trunk of my Christmas tree and kept stopping up.

Most buyers think the flash light is just a add in to increase the amount of tools you get. But with the swivel head of this light has already paid off. Disappointing is the best way to describe my experience with the Ryobi P884 tool kit. Kit was purchased April 2016 and with less than an hour of use on the circular saw it broke in August. Since it was over 30 days the warranty states the tool must be taken to a service center for repair with receipt. After finding one warranty center listed for the area I grabbed my receipt and headed for the repair center. The repair center stated their policy was to request $60 up front and said they would bill for parts at pickup and I could seek reimbursement from Ryobi. I mentioned that this was not the terms of the warranty in my hand. They replied by saying “As new as the saw looks you should just take it back to the store.” Quite disappointed, I returned to the store in hopes my saw would somehow be repaired. I went to home depot and explained my confusion and situation. The service desk was quite surprised to hear for this and called the ASM promptly to find out how they could resolve the situation. I was told the only resolution home depot could offer was to return the entire kit for a gift card. Very disappointed at the prospects for long term satisfaction with these tools since I couldn’t even exchange them as the price had changed or get my saw repaired under warranty since the advertised home depot tool repair services advertised on their website isn’t available in my area I chose another brand. After purchasing many Ryobi tools in the past this experience with their service and warranty I don’t feel they are the value they once were.

I purchased this combo set for $199 last year around Father’s Day, I haven't used all the tools just yet but I'm starting a basement remodel and they are coming in handy. So, I will tell you about the tools I've used so far; the drill is like any other drill gets the job done for light drilling. This is my first drill driver and it works like magic with removing old screws for wood. The driver lights up when you're using it and it backs out screws with ease. I purchased some driver bits to fit the neatly stripped out screws and they came out easy. I'm also new to the multi-purpose tool wasn't sure how and what to use it on; but after reading the instruction I learned it could be used for many things. I used the sanding head to sand in some corners, the wood and metal blades to cut through drywall and small screws that were too badly damaged to remove with the drill driver. The reciprocal saw was a dream as well it to was the first time I've use one; I used it to cut through wood, drywall and some out of those badly damaged screws I mentioned earlier. I've not had the chance to use the circular yet but expect it to perform as well as the rest of the tools. The batteries seem to last a pretty good time, but I have yet put them to the test. I think this is still a great deal at $249, I plan to get one for my son-in law so I don't have to drag my tools to their house when I help them with projects around their house.

Couldn't pass it up and I'm glad I didn't. We just bought a new house and I've used every single tool around the house. The drill and the driver both are super powerful and the saws all are great for the cutting purposes. I've taken out overgrown bushes with the reciprocating saw, fixed shelves in the garage with the circular and cut off a drain pipe with the cutoff wheel. I even used the work light when I was finishing up with hanging up the Xmas lights. These tools are not going to suit you if you are using them for commercial purposes but they are spot on for the home handyman!

We have an earlier set that is an exact copy of this set. We have used it for two seasons with little trouble. We also have a Ryobi jigsaw. The jigsaw requires T blades that we get from Ryobi's supplier because no one handles those blades around here.Other than that problem, the system works for us. We have had several other "Overpriced" sets that have not done as well. One very popular brand I gave away because it was a collective pain. It was extremely expensive and it was suppose to be great. It was not. The Ryobi held up better over all.
