Product Overview

Micro-Induction Cooktop provides the best in cooktop performance, safety and efficiency. Induction heats as electricity flows through a coil to produce a magnetic field under the ceramic plate. When a ferromagnetic cookware is placed on the ceramic surface, currents are induced in the cookware and instant heat is generated due to the resistance of the pan. Heat is generated to the pan only and no heat is lost. As there are no open flames, inductions are safer to use than conventional burners. Once cookware is removed, all molecular activity ceases and heating is stopped immediately.

Answer:
No. The normal Corning Cookware I know of is more of a ceramic. These induction cook tops require pans that a magnet can stick to. Good luck!

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very useful induction cooktop unit, with limitations The unit came packed sufficiently and with clear instructions. Overall, I rate it as "good" due to the typical induction limitations and a weird lower-temperature functioning. Typical induction limitations include correctly sized, induction-ready pans. Anything smaller or larger is hit or miss. As for the lower-temperature cooking? Well, it is a time-division thing where the coils are powered to a medium level for part of the time, so it can be annoying hearing the pulsing and waiting for the pan to stabilize temperature. Otherwise, a good unit that is perfect for making sensitive dishes like caramel or low temp items that are too difficult on a gas range. August 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Make sure your pots/pans are magnetized This product is amazing....as long as you have magnetized pots and pans. I had to buy all new pots and pans because none of mine are magnetized. Won't work with normal ones. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it I always liked gas the best but the induction is even better. Best if both worlds: smooth cooktop, very very fast heating. All with regular outlet, no special instillation Easy to get used to- I cooked perfect rice first try The digital options, including timer make it a great overall choice. Usually do not like being asked to review purchases but this one is too great not to tell everyone There. Is a fan inside, which does make some noise but I got used to it quickly April 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleasantly Surprised I was just amazed by how rapidly this cooking device heats water. As long as i use the recommended cookware it performs to perfection. It is extremely efficient and conserves heat. Once the pan, or my OXO tea kettle, are removed and it turns off there is no residual heat. Been needing an excuse to order some more cast iron cookware. Even works well with my pressure cooker. I love it. March 29, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs more power This product can't boil water , but simmers great. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome cooktop! I bought this cooktop to replace my coiled electric cooktop. This induction cooktop sends the electric coil, halogen, and other cooktops back to the stone age. It can boil water (for the same volume) faster than my 1100 watt microwave, can cook pancakes flawlessly, can simmer or stew better than gas stoves. The only drawback is that it requires cookwares with bottom that contain iron. A lot of the Farberware and Cuisinart "stainless steel" cookwares did not pass the test. However, cooking a piece of steak on the old school cast iron skillet was fast and to perfection. Lots of safety features to boot. February 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a deal at all The price was right but everything else about this product was wrong. The instruction book was very incomplete. The product took ten minutes to start heating a practice pan of water while my electric stove took exactly the same amount of time for the exact same amount of water in the same pot. May 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Speedy Heat As long as your pots and pans work with Mr. Induction, it's a no brainer. Get the thing. Try it. I have a set of stainless steel Caphalon pots and pans. Only my rounded bottom medium size pot works. The other pots and pans get a beeping & it refuses to function cuz of the safety feature. The pot or pan must be in contact. And it has to be the right magnetic properties for the hot plate. Anyway once I figured that out, I could have returned in frustration. But I'm keeping it for that one pot. Why? Cuz Mr. Induction is so fast & efficient. I am amazed by the thing. So I'm keeping it. And I love using it with that 1 pot. April 9, 2013
