I have heard that the dishes are still "wet" at the end of the cycle. Do you find that they are still pretty wet and have to towel-dry before putting away?

No my dishes are still wet with water drops on them days later. Either this machine doesn't work correctly or it is a very bad dish washer. Not happy with it at all...

I am remodeling my kitchen and have ordered the Samsung Dishwasher above and I don't know if it needs and air gap. I need to pick out a sink and need to make adjustments with the countertop. I have checked the manuals online and did not find this information.

Top control usually refers to the controls on a dishwasher. The control panel will be accessible when the dishwasher door is opened. Set controls that you desire and close door.

The controls on the DW80F800UWS are on the top edge of the dishwasher door, so they are hidden from view when the door is closed for a clean, sleek appearance.

a little confusing if you are not familiar... it means the control pad is on the top edge above the handle where you open the door as opposed to being on the front face of the door.

Answer:
Maybe. Ours died about 9 months after installation, but it may have been a bad unit. While it's working, it's very quiet. So quiet, that we had to get in the habit of checking the lights on the top, instead of just opening the door and interrupting a cycle. It cleans fairly well, and looks quite nice in a stainless steel kitchen.

Top Control Dishwasher in Stainless Steel with Stainless Steel Tub is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 174.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst dishwasher ever From the first week this dishwasher was installed, it hasn't worked. After 2 or 3 washes, it started giving an OE code on the display, and the cycle would stop. We would turn it off, then back on, and it would complete. Over time, it has gotten worse and worse. Now it will only work on about 1 in 20 tries. I've officially had it with this dishwasher. We are in the process of selling the house, and I'm not going to allow this dishwasher to go with it. I couldn't do that to someone else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing but problems Previous owner of our home bought this pice of junk before selling. It is only 11 months old and it leaks all over our floor and it has already had the board replaced! It took Samsung 3 weeks to get a repair tech to our home and then another 2 weeks before he had the parts. It ran for 3 weeks and now it stopped again and is giving the same error. We won't be buying Samsung products again. The Samsung TV we own shuts off randomly too and that's less than a year old. The service you get with the warranty is basically worthless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE Dishwasher broke after 14 months. 2 months out of warranty. started with 1E error code, now has 1E and 3E code. No help from samsung. Costed $600 to fix, i only payed $760 for the whole thing. Dont buy this by any means.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy! Our dishwasher is 21 months old and has had 2 LE faults. We have read dozens of reviews of other people who have the same problem. We are out $512 plus $120 in repairs. Thursday Best Buy is coming to take this piece of junk away and bring us a Kitchen Aid. Do not buy Samsung. Samsung knows that it is defective but will not do anything other than keep fixing it over and over. We have been unable to use our dishwasher for over 4 weeks while all of this is going on. Save yourself, do not but this or any other Samsung.

We had been purchasing the extended warranty but the cost goes up more and more each year. Also, customer service SUCKS! It takes forever to get anyone to come repair it and they never have the part, so they have to come back weeks later. My husband kept getting the runaround and they kept promising the would do something, even connected him with their compensation department but they did NOTHING! We are getting rid of it!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not clean and smells Bought this less than 1 year ago have been disappointed from the start. Looks great but does not clean well, despite us completely rinsing the dishes ahead of time. It also smells of mildew and i suspect that it because it also does not dry the loads as it should (yes, i have double checked to make sure it is level). The racks are also very rickety when you pull them out and the wheels frequently come off the tracks.

Repairman came over twice and could not or would not fix it. We called Samsung, and they said the repairman had to make an assessment for whether or not to replace the questionable part. The repairman said his service headquarters had to make the call. Catch 22 for us and great frustration and time loss. Repairman finally replaced the part on the third try after we argued with Samsung. It was clear that he knew what needed to be done after the first repair and would not do it. Samsung's indifference was astonishing. It has now broken down a fourth time, and they want us to pay for it. It has about an 8 month life based on this part failure. I do not recommend this product. We are disappointed and regret it. In fact, based on our experience with their service people, I would avoid Samsung appliances altogether.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very unhappy with Samsung I trusted Samsung before buying the worst dishwasher I ever had in my life. I have a great refrigerator but they can't make dishwashers. In one year, I have had it repaired 3 times;it leaks. I'm furious because yet another repair (from an unrelated company) had to be made today. To top it off, my wood floor is damaged and needs to be sanded (4 big spots).
