Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst product I am highly disappointed with the quality of the tape. This is was my first time painting project and I decided to paint half the walls of my entire 1200 sq.ft condo. Being risk adverse, I made sure to splurge on what I thought would be quality tape and purchased a few rolls of the ScotchBlue™ Painter's Tape Multi-Surface with Advanced Edge-Lock™ Paint Line Protector 2093EL. I read and followed the instructions to test on a spot first; I placed a piece of tape on the wall and after a few hours I removed the tape which came off perfectly fine. As a result I proceeded to tape all necessary walls and baseboards. I was absolutely horrified when I went to proudly remove the tape from such a large painting project and revealed chunks of paint and drywall torn off the walls. The tape was supposed to protect the walls I wasn’t painting but instead created a nightmare as I now have to sand the chunky drywall and somehow find a decent color match (previous owners chose color and didn’t leave a can to color match). To make things even worse, the tape was extremely difficult to take off in certain areas and came off in tiny little bits further increasing the time of this painting project. Painters beware – this product is terrible. June 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice painting tape Easy to use. Comes off of roll easy. Nice adhesion to surface. Came off good after painting. No complaints May 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never again. This product is a waste of time and money to use. I bought 3 rolls, individually, because they are $.89 cheaper and this product doesn't stick to anything. I'm trying to paint my house i just bought and ill start taping a wall and by the time i get to the next wall, this tape is on the floor. The tape that i managed to get to stick using latex caulk still let paint bleed through even though it says " edge lock" or "paint lock" on it. My experience in using this tape is one that i will never buy this tape again. Poor product for way to much money. May 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst tape ever encountered!!! absolutely the worst tape ever. perhaps i have a bad roll. the smaller versions seem to do just fine, but not this one. What type of tape does NOT stick to the walls??? won't buy this larger size ever again! i spent more time ripping the tape and re taping over and over again that my paint job is taking twice as long as it should be May 6, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy Not worth buying, using Frog tape instead. Paint ALWAYS bleeds under the blue tape. March 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dont buy HDX Tape, buy scoth blue dont buy HDX tape. it does not stays glued to the surface for more than a few minutes. by the time you are done with taping your area, you tape has started falling off the wall and trim etc... spend the extra money and pay for the scotch blue branded tape that you had always used before, its worth the money and time and a nice finish on your paint. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sticks to your fingers-not the wall The tape did a poor job of sticking to the surface. Sometimes coming off 2 or 3 feet at a time. Once I painted, then many times the tape was not strong enough to break the seal between it and the surface, causing it to rip. Then a utility knife was needed to complete the job. Once my supply is gone, I'll find another brand. January 28, 2015
