Yes, a small one...I don't think my S&W .357 revolver with the 6-inch barrel would fit...but my S&W 9 mm semi-auto probably would

A hand gun will definitely fit, however, the lock can be picked with a nail file. Read my review for detailed information. I would not recommend expecting any level of security with this item.

Thank you for your interest in Sentry Safe products.
It is not recommended that you keep guns in a fire rated chest safe. The humidity in the fireproof insulation may damage the firearm.

Not this model...it is about 7 1/2 * 11 1/2 ... I assume you are talking about standard 8 1/2 * 11 pages...they wouldn't lie flat in this model, but there is a larger model available.

You don't need a replacement key, simply use a nail file (such as the fold-out file that comes with most nail clippers)
1) Insert nail file into the lock, just like you would a key
2) Make sure the nail file is inserted all of the way
3) Jiggle the nail file up/down and clockwise/counterclockwise while simultaneously jiggling the door handle.

With this technique I have defeated all if the SentrySafe locks I have tried. Stick with a physical combination (non electronic) lock that does not have a key-lock override. The key-locks SentrySafe uses (and other brands that use the same lock manufacturer) all have this design flaw. I didn't believe it until stuff started disappearing from our SentrySafe. I did an internet search and found multiple videos about this and tried it. It took me 15 seconds my first time. Now it takes me less than 3 seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serves its purpose well The unit is small and easy enough to carry yet it feels like it is made to deter breaking into the unit. It is small enough to hide in discreet places. The lock is not some cheesy thing you could pick with a fingernail - it has a full-fledged, multi-tooth key. I am very happy with this purchase.
