CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 238 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product, highly recommended I've purchased two of these oven, both back in 1998, I bought one for my mother, it still works as good as new, I bought one for myself that same year, Both white model. I still have it however the convection part of it quit working 2 years ago. The spool that turns the fan melted and started to burn through the side, had to buy new part from Ontario, however it turns out the thermostat was not working properly. Too expensive to fix so I use only the microwaving features, and it still works great. Going to purchase a stainless model this year since my new place is all stainless appliances. Both still working great after 16 years. Cat loves to sit on it! September 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Convection Microwave Great Convection Microwave with many features. I built this into a cabinet in our remodeled kitchen. All appliances are going to an gray color which clashes with our colors. Also this unit has a numeric pad not a dial to turn. All the newer units are going to the dial which is a pain to select everything with. I also thought the dial would be a problem waiting for the right time to fail. My only concern with this convection microwave is that it has a metal, not glass, carousel tray. This may be the reason that you have to elevate popcorn to pop. If you lay the bag on the tray it will not pop. Otherwise we like our purchase. By the way we ordered it online and received it in less than a week! May 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by third Sharps m/w convection oven fails to heat hotter than 100 degrees Had two Sharps convection m/w ovens before. Expected this to last 10 years like the others. But this is not as good, the door won't open with the button when the oven is hot. Then it would not heat to more than 100 degrees The microwave appears to work fine but not the convection. The service man does not pick up or do house visits. My warranty has expired by a week, I have to pay $40 for a service man just to look at it - and I feel as though I might as well throw it away and get something else. Have to get someone to help put it into my car, and then lug it all the way to the service place. Then I have to pay goodness knows what in order to fix it. November 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by What more could you ask for. Two in one. When cooking for two it's my oven. It is also the microwave for quick cooking. What more do you want? May 13, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Died after 5 years We loved it when we first bought it. Suddenly after 5 years and a few weeks after the warranty expired, it just stopped heating food. Neither microwave or convention oven works. It will cost at least $250+ parts to replace. I've never had a microwave die this fast. Sharp Service is horrible. Cannot find an authorized dealer easily and calling them is like calling the yellow pages. That is actually what the customer service rep told me to do after I told him the number of an authorized dealer he gave me was no longer in business. Not worth the money spent. Microwave essentially cost $150/year. Buying a new one and picking a brand with better service. November 28, 2014
