how do i get this seam tape to adhere ?

Tried everything suggested, and still bubbles up and won't stick
Asked by: tony
Put a small spread of mud on the wall, lay the tape over that mud. Take the taping trowel and now run it across the tape pressing it into the mud squeezing out the mud but not all of it. When it drys put more mud over the tape and sand smooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly easy to use, even for a novice We're remodeling our bathroom and after installing new drywall on the ceiling and walls I decided to try finishing the walls myself. I've never taped drywall joints before so was a little apprehensive but decided to use the paper tape instead of the fiberglass mesh. This tape is very easy to use and even a novice can get good results quickly. In my case, I decided to use 90 minute setting compound so I could take my time learning how to do it properly. There were a couple of things I found really useful: 1. When taping a joint like the wall to ceiling, fold the paper first. Flatten out the fold before wetting the tape. 2. Before you press it into the setting compound, pull the tape quickly through a bowl of clean water and pull the tape between your first two fingers to remove the excess water. The joint knife slides over the paper much easier when it is damp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and holds in place I used this in conjunction with the wallboard joint compound and Flex 'n Fill premium spackling paste to patch a hole in the wall from installing a new faucet. What is great about Home Depot is they have all the items needed to get the job done. The quality is always on the spot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well Great tape. Performed well but we are not experts! We did have a problem with it sometimes bubbling up at the joints when it dried but that was our fault and we definitely learned from it.
