Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CC I tried it on a goof. Turns out it WORKS WELL!
I put it on a can of latex enamel today so my wife could easily pour while she was painting trim. Not a single drip! The rim of the can was clean when I removed this, and the paint rinsed off easily. I may have to pick up another 10 or so in case they stop selling/making it. Try it. It's worth the three bucks easily. Most of the other gadgets on the shelf at HD are junk, but this thing actually works and keeps your cans clean too. Please note, it's a tight fit. It takes a little finesse to get it on, but it works!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by John So much easier to pour paint
At first I wasn't sure if this was another gimmicky product or really useful. After buying three of them for some paint I was using, it's clear they're the real deal. Easy to snap on to the can, no strength needed. Pouring the paint is somewhat slow, due to the narrow spout, but for most jobs this works really well. I admittedly always get paint everywhere when pouring. This lid makes it 10x easier and cleaner.

These lids are not as good as the Acutainer yellow lids. Why don't you sell them any more???

On our second gallon of paint, the pour spout lid/lip is ripping off.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by RobM Lid breaks off!
I used to purchase the yellow plastic lids. They are no longer sold and this is what's available.
I picked one of these up in the store, looked at the little cap on top and knew there would be an issue. I flipped open the lid and broke it right off. The rubber cap is attached by its own material in a flap style. you can see the material turn white as soon as you flex it. This will be an inherent problem and once it breaks off, you have no way of reattach inge it. this little cap will get lost quickly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MackenzieS Don't paint without it!!
This product is pure genius and just as important as a brush or roller when painting! Seals tight, no leaking, paint didn't get trapped in the grove around the lid and pours perfectly! Easy clean up even if paint is dried. We left these in place for a couple months until our addition project was done (we refilled gal poured from 5 gal) and when done replaced the regular lids for storage. They even come in quart size!
We were using latex paint but if it works half as good on solvent based its still worth it!

This makes using and storing paint super easy. I had no mess at all. I will buy one every time I get new paint

I honestly don't know why paint cans exist this day and age. These rubber paint can lids seem to solve the problem. For $3 to end the mess and frustration, it is well worth it.
