Customer Questions & Answers

Can I add an injector downstream to use bleach or spray a deck cleaner?

Have an area of my house that's hard to reach and needs a stronger cleaner to get it clean!
Asked by: bigd
Yes ! Bleach does not go through the pump. The siphon is on the outgoing end and goes directly in the hose and out the soap tip on the gun.

Is the panel that holds the nozzles and has the hose hook, metal or plastic?

It's a heavy vinyl panel in a metal surround

Very easy to start, only took my wife 1 pull to start the engine. Strong pressure and really gets the job done. Easy to change out nozzles. Can not believe the difference it made to my concrete driveway and our sidewalk. Pressure washed the house and patio furniture as well and cleaned them with ease. The wheels are nice and big and is very light to transport to another area. Would definitely recommend this unit.

This was to replace a very old Craftsman washer and I have used it to wash our driveway. Came in perfect condition, was easy to set up and after filling with oil, gas and hooking up water it started on 4th. pull. I used it over a two day period and after the initial start up normally started on first pull. Pros: Easy set up Easy start Quick connect tips Great cleaning power Cons: If gas tank is filled up into the neck it vibrates some gas out, which on a wet drive will look a lot like oil coming out of the unit. After I realized what was happening, I made sure not to fill as full afterwards and that resolves the problem of gas vibrating out of the gas tank.

The Sprayer hose connector blew off on the first start up. I reattached the connector and tried again, but the part failed. I called Home Depot and they put me in touch with Simpson. Simpson's customer service was bad. They were not friendly and were accusatory when I spoke to them about their plastic sprayer hose which failed. Simpson wanted me to drive an hour plus to one of their service centers to have the hose checked in order to honor the warranty. If not then they would void the entire warranty. I had ordered the pressure washer at Home Depot.com. I had the pressure washer for 1 day... and Returned it the Second Day. Home Depot was great with the return.

Setup was easy and straightforward. Installed the handle, filled with oil, assembled the parts, and started the engine. The engine took about 5 to 6 pulls before it started. Once started, the engine performed well. The unit is easy to maneuver but there is a fair amount of vibration; so much so that the unit tends to "walk" and the extra spray heads fell out of their holders. Be sure to remove the spray heads and store them in a secure place before starting the engine. With the exception of the vibration; the unit performed flawlessly.

I have also noticed as, I used it, that it vibrates to a point all the nozzles come loose and fall to the ground. It would be better to have them more rigid or encased somehow to not get vibrated out during use (real flaw here as i found myself putting them in my pocket to not lose then during opertation). As for the pressure it was pretty good. The tires were amazing for something getting moved around outside. I also fear that a water hose and the pressure hose should be strapped to the handle to prevent the hoses coming loose, out of the secure connection point (which happened as I moved the hose around). But overall it was a good purchase.

Remainder of assembly very easy with quick start instructions. Honda engine started first pull. Have started it 15 or 20 times since, and only once did not start first pull. Pressure cleaner outperformed professional job we had on our brick driveway. Handle, easily comes off and rotates 180 degrees for compact storage. Non kink hose works very well, however 50 feet would be better than 25. Great product. User guide for the Honda GCV 190 engine states 20 ounces of oil. Included in unit package was 16 ounce bottle of oil and was the correct amount. The handle has a holder for nozzle tips. The tips will vibrate out of the holder. These last two items were only stated to provide complete review. Bottom line, it is an excellent machine.

The pressure washer worked fine but I am disappointed with the Honda engine. It is extremely hard to cold start. It takes 8-10-12 hard pulls to start. After it warms up will restart the first pull. It reminds me of the old Briggs engines. It runs fine and has enough power but that first start in not an easy one. I thought it might get easier to start but so far it has not! It has plenty of pressure and performed the work I wanted well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I DEFINITELY would buy another Simpson I used this pressure washer on my 12X24 ft. deck with 15 years of algae build up, looks like a brand new deck! Now I need to reseal and hope it last another 15 lol. I'll be 73 years old by then and I think it'll last and I will too. Just hope I can get it started.
