Customer Questions & Answers

I need a second galvanized Nut for (Simpson Strong-Tie 8 in. Retrofit Bolt Model # RFB#4X8HDG-R), .Crown Bolt Galvanized 1/2 in.-13 Hex Nut can work?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello cpecorelli, I’m Newf from the Home Depot’s how-to Community. Thank you for your question. Yes, the specs for the Simpson Strong-Tie Retrofit Bolt show it as a 1/2" coarse thread. This is the same as a 1/2” x 13 pitch thread, so the galvanized nut you suggest will work just fine. Newf. .
