Can you recommend another post base that does not require vertical support when used for 4" x 4" treated fence posts?

Asked by: Babykwai
The E-Z Base (model FPBB44) is designed for fence applications. It is not a load rated product and would be up to the Designer to evaluate the suitability of the base for the specific fence application. Thank you!

I'm building an Alumawood patio and the supplied posts are 3 x 3 with two 2 x 6 foam filled side plates fastened onto each of the 3 x 3 posts. Thanks

We are unable to support field modified products and do not have a 3x3 post base. Thank you for your inquiry!

PB 4 in. x 4 in. ZMAX Galvanized Post Base is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Never again I don't think I'd ever use these again! Just stick the Post in the ground. These are not supportive at all

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this. buy PBS 4x4 ZMAX Galvanized Standoff Post Base instead. I cemented 3 in and then decided to spend a few more $ and used the Standoff Post base for a 4' high fence. good thing I switched! But, i still used 3. There's no comparison. I now have to reinforce (the middle of 3) due to wobbly. Buyer Beware.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from worked well for what it is designed for bought this for support on awning for a storage shed. worked well without having to sink support post deep into ground, thereby saving on cement and having to dig deeper hole and since i am 71 years young, saved engery too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it's suppose to 4X4 post bracket that gets cemented into the ground. I used this bracket for a fence post. Note that the post must be supported at the top, or this will not work. The material is steel and has a galvanized coating. Steel is relatively thick and the galvanized coating seems good. Price is very reasonable and it did what it was suppose to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have these in all my fence post Works good as advertised but I had to add some screws to give it more bite in the concrete.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes for quick work Living in the Pacific Northwest - we get a lot of rain, actually no more than many other areas of the US in terms of overall volume - we just get a little bit everyday for a long time.... We have a lot of bark dust, and ground cover in attempts to keep the soil from running, all of this keeps the moisture trapped in and around posts - using these post bases makes quick work of replacing rotting posts. Please keep in mind, these are not intended for fence posts - but I use them anyway - just not within two spans of a gate - they don't provide any lateral (side to side) strength.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and perfect for my building needs. This piece reinforced my post when I did an addition to my home. 4by4 posts fit perfectly and were easy to manuvear.
