Japanese Beetles are destructive pests that can cause extensive damage to a wide range of ornamental and edible plants in the lawn and garden. Plus their larvae burrow through the soil where they cause even more damage feeding on lawn grass roots. Spectracide Bag-A-Bug Japanese Beetle Trap draws Japanese beetles away from your trees, shrubs, roses, and flowering plants, and then traps them so they can't continue their destruction. Its effective combo lure system, with natural sex attractant and floral lure, draws insects from over a 5,000 sq. ft. area to help protect your entire lawn and garden from these destructive pests throughout the entire beetle season. Spectracide Bag-A-Bug Japanese Beetle Trap helps control these pests through their own natural biology in a means compatible with the environment, helping to avoid the indiscriminate use of harmful chemicals. Read and follow all label instructions.

  • Traps over a 5,000 sq. ft. area
  • Lasts the entire beetle season
  • Dual floral insect lure system
  • Lure is used by federal and state trapping programs

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I wish everything in life worked this good! Those darn beetles appeared out of nowhere and were chomping away at my large knock out roses. I purchased this product and placed 2 of them approx. 20 feet away from the roses. I kid you not, within 24 hours, those bags were FULL of beetles and there were very few left on the roses. It's best to kick the trunk of the rose bushes to convince them to let go. While watching them fly about, it's amazing to see them hone in on the attractant and fall into the bag. My grandkids think it's the best thing ever, they check that bag about 5 times a day! Winner, winner here! June 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beetle Trap We were amazed of how fast the beetles flew to this trap. Within minutes, the bag began to fill. This product is outstanding -- well worth the money. Easy to assemble, and would recommend to anyone with a beetle infestation. July 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best product ever! This is the best product ever and I wish I discovered it earlier. I have been struggled with Japanese beetles for last three years, new house, new development, and pour soil. Many of my favorite fruit trees died or flower trees didn't bloom the next spring. Japanese beetle like Burning bushes, Japanese Maple, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Cypress Leyland and vege garden, they skeletonized my peach tree leaves. I tried Pure Neem oil mixed with soapy water sprayed on the bushes, I bought milky spore Grub Control $80 for 40oz on entire lawn and hope next year will have less Japanese beetle, that didn't work. Nothing works except the entire summer, every night I pick them by hand and put in a pickle jar with soapy water. I read earlier with Spectracide Bag-A-Bug Japanese Beetle Trap, it attracts more beetles, so I didn't try it. Finally I had enough, I don't care I am the neighboring Japanese Beetle Police, I just want to see it gone! I bought one trap at local Home Depot. It came with bait and two bags. Easy to install. Boy, was I surprised how many Japanese Beetles I caught in a day. The bottom of green design part of bag all filled with Beetles. During the day, it must attracted all neighborhood Japanese Beetles, they flew around and landing by the trap. At the end of day, I took off the bag, dumped in a large pickle Jar filled half of soapy water. Then dumped them in the toilet and flushed away. Rinsed off the bag with soapy water, hung back on the tree. I did that three days, each day, I got full large pickle Jar full of Japanese Beetles. Wish they made the bag more durable material so we can reuse it. The trick is you need to put the trap on a tree away from your favorite tree or bushes. I thought for sure this tree will be sacrificed, but it didn’t. The tree I picked was least favorite to Japanese Beetles so they didn’t bother it much. I still see few beetles on my bushes, but much more manageable. I am so glad no more hand picking and much less grubs/beetles next year! Great product and I highly recommended! July 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate This is really the only option -- other than the spray can -- to get rid of Japanese beetles. I cut the rose bushes down to the ground each fall, but once the larvae invade, they just hatch in June/July every year. It's impossible to get rid of them entirely. This product minimizes the damage. Once the things die off, I prune all the dead stuff and enjoy new rose growth for the rest of the season. June 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Actually Works I am very pleased with the results. I was overwhelmed by Japanese beetles last year. I thought this would be a great alternative to spraying my trees, which I try to avoid. I think for the price it's a great value, and if you place the trap far away from the plants you want to protect you will be pleased to see how well the lure attracts beetles away from your garden. I do recommend that you place more than one trap, and that you have a back up method for the few that still find their way to your garden. Nevertheless, it has tremendously cut down on the troublesome beetles munching on my fruit trees this year. May 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beetle Traps Works great , keeps the beetles away from the roses and other plants. June 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful product We have a lot of problems with Japanese beetles. Bag-a-Bug has done a wonderful job protecting our gardens. We no longer have our basil and roses being eaten before we get to them. We leave the bags up until full and not had any problems. We put three bags up and do not care if we are attracting our neighbors bugs. Those bugs will only bread and come onto our property so let us take care of them before they do any damage. The bags are a little gross to change. We have found that it is best to bring out another plastic bag to dump the bag-a-bug in to as soon as we remove it from the plastic holder. We put the bag-a-bug bag in the other plastic bag before we remove it from the plastic holder and tie it up as soon as we remove the bag-a-bug. This way they do not have a chance to fly out. We also found that a small rock in the bottom of an empty bag keeps it from swinging in the wind. June 25, 2010
