Answer:
Yes, they need to be attached to the wood with wood screw prior to installing the roofing panels. Be sure to use a wood screw with washer to attach the panel to the closure that is long enough to go through the closure and into the wood. 2" works well.

Answer:
We installed the strips to the roof, and then installed the panel separately. This way, you can replace the panel if necessary without having to reinstall the strip.

Answer:
I would recommend the use of at least two short screws to hold them in place on your rafters. Your panel screws will also go through these once installed for additional strength.

Answer:
You can secure them in place first to hold them in place while installing the panels. You can also just attach the panel directly to the closure strip, however, it is easier to have them secured in place first.

Answer:
Yes, it is a universal vertical closure strip. Because it urns vertically up the corrugation it can be used with Palruf, Suntop, or Suntuf panels.

I am not sure if the round holes are to be used for regular wood screws and the special screws go into the top of the closure strips...

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than FOAM or WOOD spacers! These spacers are well worth the special order wait. They are all 24” in length and snap together forming an exact layout for the panels. I built a 10’ x 12’ awning and used both the horizontal and vertical closure strips together. BUT THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED TO OVERLAP. You cannot connect the vertical end-to-end at the same time you connect the horizontal end-to-end. So I cut all the vertical strips to fit between the horizontal strips since the horizontal spacing was the more exact layout I wanted. They hold together well enough that I could snap a 12’ section together on the ground and lift it up to the roof top without the sections falling apart. I will never use form or wood spacers again and think they should be an in-store item all the time. May 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Unfortunately, this product is not carried by any of my local Home Depots so I had to order it on-line to be picked up at the store. The product arrived when promised and was easy to install. This part is necessary to install a polycarbonate roof system, in this case for a greenhouse. This closure seals the panels along the long sides of the 24" corrugated sheet. It is a little surprising that it isn't a regular inventory item. Greenhouse looks great by the way. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Should be an in-stock item These are needed for the installation of corrugated roof panels and should be an in-stock item. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does what it is supposed to do. I utilized the SunTuf corrugated panels as a rof system to a screen porch. The closure strips were easy to install and sealed the edges from insects. In addition, I used the supporting horizontal strips to screw down the panels. I only complaint is directed at Home Depot. This product is not carried in the store. It had to be drop shipped from the manufacture. This was inconvenient for me as I could not start nor complete the project until the closure strips arrived. Further, the manufacturer had only ground shipping with no option to expedite. Plus the cost of shipping. You can deliver to the store for free, but you loser even more time in your schedule. So some planning is needed in the schedule so as to not disappoint a customer, or your wife. This needs to be remedied. HD carries the panels, sealing screws, the horizontal supporting pieces but not the only other piece required to use and correctly install the rest of the system. Also feel the panels are overprices. Let's work on that HD. Buy more. Market the product more. Drop the price. Otherwise, very happy with the aesthetic the system helped create on our porch. September 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised These are necessary to complete the project yet Home Depot does not typically carry them in store and you have to order them. They carry the other products to get going but not the plastic strips to secure the cover. Why not? It is real frustrating to have to wait for an order to finish up. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Did what it was supposed to do used as part of a pvc corrugated roof project. Easy enough to install. Had to go online and look for direction from the manufacturer but otherwise uneventful job. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation Easy and quick installation. I liked the fact that it could be readjusted if needed. August 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad at all Works great glad I listened and didn't get the foam ones July 12, 2016
