Answer:
There's no PSI rating in the manual. It only provide GPM capacity based on the height of the discharge above the pump. 36 GPM at 5 feet and down to 1 GPM at 25 feet.
The manual doesn't address restricted flow, but I would equate raising the discharge height to restricting the flow. If you buy that, than yes it is cable of operated with restricted flow.

Answer:
Hi Red,
The pump will develop a max of 10.8 PSI. These are designed to move water from one point to another and not to have the flow restricted to much. Going through a spray bar should be OK but do not turn the flow on and off with a valve. The back pressure created by stopping the flow will cause the pump to over heat.
Thanks

I assume the new pump comes pre filled with oil. How do I know if it has been filled to proper level and how often do I need to check the oil and what type of oil should I put in?

Answer:
There's nothing in the Owner's Manual to indicate you need to periodically check oil level in the unit or calls out any oil type to be used. I'm suspect it doesn't contain oil, but has sealed bearings that are self lubricating.

Answer:
I'm not aware of any submersible sump pump that requires adding or checking for oil. They are usually self-contained units that come pre-filled with any necessary lubricants. The oil is sealed within the unit. And the lubricant (oil) should last for the lifetime of the motor.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Pump Nice, robust cast iron pump design with a relatively low profile design. Ample power cord length to get the pump down a relatively deep sump hole and still have cord left over to reach the outlet - other pumps I've seen fall short in the cord length. Built on float switch operates as it should and the pump is as quiet as it should be despite moving a GREAT amount of water per minute! 1-1/2" NPT port. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by defective pump The pump did not work when i received it. Must pack it up and take it back to the store which is 125 miles away. Not very happy with product. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little sump pump. I got this sump pump for an area under my front porch I use for storage that occasionally gets flooded. I needed a pump that would fit inside a 5 gallon bucket. This one fit the bill perfectly. The intake is about as close to the bottom of the bucket as possible and the stroke on the float switch is such that the pump doesn't come on until the water is almost at the top of the bucket. Very well made pump I wish I had gotten a long time ago. May 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price for 46 gallons per minute. The Superior Pump 1/3 HP submersible sump pump will move up to 46 Gal. of water per minute. This pump features rugged cast iron construction and includes an adjustable vertical float switch with piggy back plug to automatically turn the pump on/off and backed by a 3 year warranty. After looking at the specifications why wouldn't you buy such an awesome pump at a great price. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Faster than Expected Description should include notice of (2) cords! The Pump's Cord must be plugged into the back of the Float Valve's Cord. THIS ADDS DEPTH. Used outdoors, it must be plugged into an IN-USE GFCI COVER. Most In-Use Covers available on the market (including Home Depot) allow for a single cord to be plugged in and cord bent down. With (2) cords plugged in back-to-back, you can no longer maintain an In-Use Cover closed (which is how it is intended to be used). This should be clearly stated somewhere in the Item's Description. Other than that, seems to be well built and extremely suitable for most Residential applications. I placed this outdoors in a low spot against my house where rainwater accumulates. Beats excavating 50' of French Drain. Pumps fast enough for the constant flash floods received in the Spring time! May 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's been 2 months, so far works great It's been 2 months, so far works great. What I was looking is the switch on & off height and this is what this pump offered. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pump So far so good, it is quiet but has only been installed for a couple of weeks, see if it lasts. For the 3 years of warranty March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great sump pump easy to install and very quiet. this pump works very well and quiet. as to where my old pump was noisy and made the light dim every time it went on. February 23, 2016
