What's the maximum PSI that this pump is capable of? Is the pump capable of operated with restricted out flow?

I need the out let to run into a spray bar
Asked by: Red
There's no PSI rating in the manual. It only provide GPM capacity based on the height of the discharge above the pump. 36 GPM at 5 feet and down to 1 GPM at 25 feet. The manual doesn't address restricted flow, but I would equate raising the discharge height to restricting the flow. If you buy that, than yes it is cable of operated with restricted flow.

Do I need to put oil in the new pump I just bought?

I assume the new pump comes pre filled with oil. How do I know if it has been filled to proper level and how often do I need to check the oil and what type of oil should I put in?
Asked by: Freddie
No oil required.

The only problem I had was that I use it in a backyard drainage well to keep water away from my foundation. If the water has any sticks or mulch in it, the pump gets clogged. I had to clean the impeller once to remove a small stick. Also, it has 2 plugs (one for the float and one for the motor). That makes it a little difficult for my outdoor application but nothing I couldn't work around. Overall, very good pump. It's doing a great job so far.

This pump does not work well the check valve they sell with it does NOT adapt to anything. Shopped at Menards and Home Depot and neither has fittings that work. Do not buy. Do not buy their check valve that goes with the pump....wish I could have tried the pump but the valve doesn't adapt.

Standing next to it I can barely hear it running. I have it in a sump at a low spot in the yard, it pumps approx 10 gal of water in 5 seconds. The float switch is simple and so far has worked without a hitch. Highly recommend

Had 2 before this and I was glad to find two more so I could get 2 more for the future use. It saved me a couple of thousand dollars of extra work to dig a bigger sewer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works well I had to buy an adapter to fit into the pump, mine is very old and I had to buy a check valve as well. The lengths of the cords do not match each other, so you will have slack on the power cord of about 10". The crock was very dry, and no rain so with three 5 gallon buckets we plugged it in and turned it on. Water rushed out fast and it shut off in about 15 seconds and check valve worked wonders. Vacuuming out the crock and putting in the valve was little over an hour. I hope this lasts. 4 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy replacement installation Used this pump to replace an old tired pump. The pumps setup was easy, and the float installed easily to the pumps housing. There are two individual power cords to run to an electrical outlet. The electrical cord from the float plugs-in first. Next, the power cord from the pump connects to power through the plug from the float in a piggyback configuration. Unit pumps well, but could be quieter.
