Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Quality Daylight Bulb Personally, I prefer warmer bulbs for most applications, so these bulbs are noticeably cooler than the other (2700K - 3500K) lights in our house. There is slightly less light output toward the base of the bulb, but otherwise the side/front output is very even. These 5000K cool white bulbs are slightly more efficient than TCP's 2700K bulbs, using 8.7w to produce 900 cool white lumens as compared to 9.8w to produce 800 warm white lumens. If you are lighting a kitchen, utility/laundry room, play room, garage, or similar area then these are great bulbs to produce a lot of cool light very efficiently. Note that these are at the high end of light output for a 60w equivalent bulb, and I would actually say they are brighter than Philips 75w equivalent CFLs (rated as 1800 lumen). I'll also add that I dropped one of these bulbs from a height of about 6' onto a hardwood floor, and not only did the bulb not shatter, but it still seems to work after the drop without any issues. Pleasant surprise! September 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy.... I recommend it.. Great buy, I like it, cool white light, now I can see everything very, very clear⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ August 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bluer than I expected Take a look at the image of these next to my CFLs. They leave a bluish light that takes some getting used to. Not something you want to mix and match with other types of bulbs so a 6 pack is a good choice. Having used CFLs for so many years I forgot how bright 60 watts is. They are quite bright. They look very much like the old fashioned incandescent and feel well made. Can be used in totally enclosed receptable. If you use these in areas recommended by the Home Depot "How to choose a light bulb" section you should be satisfied. August 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good set of bulbs I like these really bright light bulbs. They are like daylight. I’m just waiting for all my CFL light bulbs to fail so I can replace them all with LED. September 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bright Lights I bought 12 of these bulbs a while back and really like them. Now I am buying another dozen today. They are bright which means I can see things well. The daylight 5000 are what you want if you want to see. They are much brighter than florescent or incandescent bulbs. And they fit in the ceiling fixtures just fine as they are just a tad larger than the old incandescent 60 watt bulbs. I just hope they last the 20,000 hours as advertised. And also they are at a decent price! May 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WHOA... viable GROW LIGHT, runs touchably cold @ a blistering 97 lumens/watt viable grow light, especially mixed with a few 2700-3000K's for their red peaks. NINETY SEVEN LUMENS PER WATT. touchably cold, can be placed point blank range (i layer mine, 5000k TCP's branched in Ys just short of touching, and 40w CFLs in a top layer above) preposterously rapid hydroponic / aeroponic growth, NO hot spots / leaf burn. btw, that 97 lumens per watt walks ALL OVER metal halide's at first glance similar ratings - in PAR / PUR-only ranges, it's several TIMES higher, and, almost more importantly, RUNS HUNDREDS OF DEGREES COLDER - meaning you can place them a foot or more closer. which just doubled your effective lux again, at the very least. and, for the final finishing blow? they look NORMAL. no creepy or ugly bases exposed, no ginormous protruding elements, no spacey tacky nonsense to sucker in the technologically naive. GOOD SOLID BULB. PROPER FITTING SIZE. EXTREME PERFORMANCE. EXCELLENT PRICE. ZERO NONSENSE. AND NOT SOMETHING YOU'LL EVER FEEL EMBARRASSED ABOUT HAVING PAID YOUR HARD EARNED CA$H FOR. NO GIMMICK HERE.* * actually very very very important if any of the ludicrous looking expensive competitor bulbs do in fact last the claimed 20+ years - envision the embarrassment of explaining to your yet-unborn future teenage kids that mommy and daddy refuse to chuck the tacky junk they once dropped a week's salary on... some of those other scifi Bmovie monstrosities promise TWO DECADES of sheepishly tolerating the overpriced eyesores May 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great bulbs Put 4 of these bulbs in the bathroom and what a difference. I cant believe how bright they are and I am saving money at the same time. I use one bulb in garage door opener and it is brighter than the 2 old bulbs that use to be in it. October 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brighter than Bright...More like a 100W than 60 These bulbs are like bringing the sun indoors. The natural white light is so pure you won't believe how yellow incandescent bulbs look. The only problem with these bulbs is you will want to replace every bulb in your house after seeing how wonderful these are. I have some CFLs that were comparable but they take too long to warm up the gas. I prefer the instant on of the LED. You may want to consider a dimmable type since these are so bright. If you have a fixture with more than 2 bulbs you wont want to install them all. October 21, 2014
