After hours of wasted effort pursuing other options I used these anchors to install a pedestal sink to a tiled wall when the blocking didn't align with the mounting holes.. If you're having trouble finding an anchor that really holds strong these are the ticket, forget the traditional toggles with their huge entry holes and chintzy bolts.. I think as long as you handle the plastic parts in a gingerly manner and make sure the toggle is properly aligned you shouldn't have problems- I did notice that the plastic seemed brittle but I removed and reinserted one toggle a few times and it didn't snap like some of the other reviewers mentioned. I love the beefy 1/4" 20 bolts that can be swapped out for longer hex heads for torquing down the mount in confined spaces (like the underside of a pedestal sink) Highly recommended for anything too heavy and important for plastic expanders or traditional toggles.

This is a poor knock-off of the Hilti toggle. Incredibly difficult to move the wing down against the surface of the drywall. Not worth it.

I used these to secure a hanging rail for kitchen cabinets into steel studs. This can be frustrating since some steel studs are too narrow for the toggles as is. I had to trim the business end so that it would straighten out when inserted. It is also difficult to get the screw to find the screw hole in the bolt. If the toggle is secured too tightly the plastic anchors will break before one can get the screw in. Once in though, they work well.

I read the reviews and wanted the Hilti, but only these were on the shelves. I can see where people might accidentally break the straps, but if you're patient and careful they work great. I hung my 55" TV on a 1950's drywall/plaster using 6 of these. I hung on the wall mount before putting up the TV. So it can hold at least 150lbs.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HandyOhio DO NOT BUY THESE- I'm saving you a second trip to HD
The plastic straps are incredibly brittle, and the sliding cuff is near impossible to slide up into the drywall. I'm an experienced handyman, and I broke 4 of these into the wall before I even got one to sit flush on the drywall to accept a screw. Only then did I attempt (by hand) to insert the screw, before the 5th one broke off and the metal piece fell into the wall cavity. I will be demanding my money back with the remainder of the pack. Just buy a good old fashioned toggle bolt. I went back and spent about half of what these cost for a pack of 15 instead of 6. incredible frustrating and would love to see somebody do a successful install with these.

I'd ordered a closet system that came with a set of Toggle straps. Installation was smooth and worked well.
Headed to my local HD and bought this brand because it was all they had.
- Straps don't slide back and forth easily. They bind up a lot.
- Once in place it's difficult to slide the plastic item up against the wall to pull everything together.
- As I was driving in the screw (by hand) the plastic simply disintegrated into the hole.
Drove 20 minutes to a competitor store who had the original brand who made these items. Worked like a charm. Even used the hole that this brand struggled with.
My understanding is the Hilti works much better. But HD only has them online.
Save your money, save your frustration. Walk away.

Used these to hang a shelf. Only got three of eight to work as advertised. The plastic is so brittle and thin it makes them extremely hard to operate. When they break you lose the back piece in the wall. Most disappointed I have been in a product in a long time.

I'm a license contractor in California. I have used this product for many years. They are great for hanging TVs among other things. Some time in the near past the quality changed. Every part that comes with the toggle straps is cheaper; even the bag they come in. I'm guessing the manufacture, Hillman, is sacrificing quality for profit. They are now so cheaply made that when you insert the bolt the back of the toggle bolt falls off in the wall. I highly recommend a similar product made by Hilti. The Hilti's cost more and they work. The Hilti's are with the couple extra bucks. Do not waste your money on the Hillman product, pure garbage. If Home Depot values their customers, they should drop this product line.
