My old box was too small with broken hinges and tools falling out the sides. I compared a few different boxes under $20 and this one seemed to be the most sturdy and well built with strong hinges. Some of the other boxes seemed flimsy with weak hinges and costed almost twice as much. I wish this box wasn't bright orange and had the little compartments for small items on the lid, but what can you do?

One of the tabs holding the inside tray up broke off after first use. And the tray does not fit snug into the box, so if you have small parts in the tray, they can bounce around and end up in the bottom of the box. But again, under 10 bucks and the box it self is sturdy enough for light duty use.

Big problem at the register it was $8.97. The clerks I had talked to about them had taken the display away since it was empty.

I don't have a lot of tools and supplies and this does the perfect job of keeping them all together. It is lightweight so it does not add to the weight of the hammers, nails, screwdrivers and other things I have which makes carrying it around easy.

For this particular purchase it's holding two cordless Makita saws (mini reciprocate and jigsaw), their batteries, and blades. Good, cheap, and dependable. Free coffee cup is an added bonus.

I purchased two of these "Homer" tool boxes (basically because I'm lazy and try to keep duplicate hand tools in the basement shop and the garage). The hinges are plastic, but seem up to the claim that the box will hold a bit over 28 pounds of tools. The latches have metal loops and close firmly. The small tool tray holds lighter gear and the handle is fairly comfortable to hold. It's plastic so there's no worries about picking up the box in cold weather without gloves. Given the market price and the 90 day return policy I rate these boxes at five stars. I purchased the boxes online, with in-store pickup (again, I'm pretty lazy and the H/D associates are very good at getting stuff organized for pickup, saving me time and energy); I was pleasantly surprised to find a travel mug in each box. Like the toolbox, the cups are plastic - but like the toolbox the price was right. I'd pay a couple of bucks more per box if they offered a metal piano style hinge, but I'm quite satisfied with the purchase. HTH Regards, Jim
