Answer:
Side handle slots make moving easy. It will hold as many items as you can squeeze into a 24" space. About 20 items neatly, or 40 items crammed.. If you put two 34", 1"x2" posts along the sides to support the weight of the bar, it will be Much sturdier, and support more weight.

The number of items the box will hold depends on several factors, including the thickness of the hangers, type of items (i.e., coats, shirts/blouses, etc.). You can gauge how many boxes you'll need by measuring the width of the closet rods you'll be packing, then deducting about 2-3".
You can use the short wardrobes for longer items, too - just hang them on the rod and gently lay the overhang from the items along the bottom of the box. Read Less

Answer:
There are handles (holes) on the sides, one on each side. It was pretty easy to carry if the box doesn't weigh a lot after packed.
Depending on the thickness of the articles you put in the box, you could fill it with quite a bit of stuff. I was able to fit about 15-20 shirts/pants in a box but I have those really flat (black velvet) hangers. Thick winter coats, not so many.

It will hold about 2ft of your current closet space. The box also has handles on two sides that make it easier to carry the box when full.

Answer:
If you mean protected from mice and insects NO! The "handles" are holes in the sides. So for storage you need to tape them over, as well as the unsealed edges, just like any of your boxes. IMHO you also need moth balls and insect repellant before storing in the cheapo outdoor storage spaces.

Yes, the box is one piece; you just unfold it and tape the bottom, then place the metal bar on the two openings. The front folds down for easy loading of your items, too.

The Wardrobe Box is designed for moving and storage, but it contains a metal hanging bar, that would not be recommended for shipping. We recommend that you use a box designed for shipping instead.

Wardrobe Box with Metal Hanging Bar is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 149.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The wardrobe box leaves a 1" gap on top and bottom. Very poor design! I love the Heavy Duty Home Depot moving boxes. They are the best on the market, and I have just purchased over 100 of them for my move. But, the Home Depot Wardrobe Box is a surprisingly poor design that leaves a large 1" gap on both the top and bottom seams that has to be sealed with tape. I used 1 of these reluctantly because of a timing issue, but the others are being returned.

I put it together and filled it with light hanging clothes. It was then carried downstairs to be put on moving truck. Unfortunately, as it was lifted to put on the truck, it fell apart!. The box caved in and the bar broke the corrugate - apparently, the box is not sturdy enough for its purpose. I had filled 3 wardrobe boxes which all broke and found their way into the garbage. I was able to return one. They were a waste of money and very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EASY MOVE THESE BOXES WERE A GREAT PURCHASE.. INITALLY I WAS NOT GOING TO INVEST, BOY AM I GLAD I DID. I WAS ABLE TO HANG SHIRTS AND PANTS ON THE ROD AND USE THE ADDITIONAL SPACE UNDERNEATH OF THE HANGING CLOTHES FOR MORE ITEMS THAT WHERE FROM MY DRESSER. EXCEPTIONLLY EASY TRANSITION FOR OLD TO NEW HOME

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product Easy to assemble and very roomy; strong. I even put mink coats in one with other winter coats and it held up! I was able to hang items and place some folded items in the bottom of the same wardrobe box. I had professional movers and they had the man power and hand trucks to move these items quick and efficiently without issue. I would not recommend over loading if you are moving yourself. Good quality rating only because some of the tops crushed under pressure/stacking but the box is still in tact!

Large box should hold a box full of clothes. Where bar hangs on box should be reinforced. Hav hahd it a month and more clothes than three boxes will hold due to the weight on the hanging bar on cardboard. Disappointed.

With all the other stuff going on with a move it was terrific to just take the clothes off the clothes rod in the closet and hang for transit. Quality was equal to other sources but at a much better cost. Definitely a repeat!
