Pricing on bulk items seems way off.

On your bulk items, it appears much more expensive to buy pallets rather than the individual bags. Perhaps someone should review your pricing.
Asked by: KS
Also one says the bags R 40lb and the other says they R 50lbs so I really don't know if I shoild buy from here or not being so off on their prices too???

will it stay in a mound or like a ramp?
Asked by: Reece
Yes, it will stay in a mound. I put this around metal fence posts last year and it has not flattened down, it will pack down as time goes on, and that is what I wanted it to do.

We’ve used this topsoil before, and it worked pretty well for leveling off low spots and filling in holes that my 2 dogs dug. It also worked well for flowerbed repair Pros: *Stays where you put it *Heavy *Mostly screened Cons: *The bags can rip easily Use it for what it’s for and you shouldn’t have any problems 5 out of 5 Thanks for reading

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice texture soil. This top soil has a nice feel to it. It is heavy so be careful picking it up. Heavy enough that when spread out it doesn't fly away with wind or wash away easily with rain. This would mix well with potting soil to loosen up clay areas. It has the right mixture of various soil components. It doesn't dry out as fast as peat based soils once wet. Makes a great cover for grass seeding in fall or spring.

There is a lot of sand and mulch, I would say it's probably 40/30/30. Not good for top dressing a lawn, but also not terrible for most usages and at $1.69/bag it's pretty reasonable. Great for filling low spots in your yard and MUCH better than the top soil I've gotten from WM and the blue hardware store, which have a ton of clay in them. I'm in NC, I have plenty of clay! I bought bagged top soil from 3 big box stores plus a large local garden center/farm. The local place is the same price and much higher quality SOIL, no sand and very minimal mulch. I will not buy this Timberline product again.

THIS STUFF WILL INFECT YOUR LAWN WITH CANADIAN THISTLE WHICH IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE. IT GROWS IN THE WINTER. PUT THIS DOWN BEFORE YOU PLANT NEW GRASS SEED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE ENTIRE LAWN. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not top soil This product is dark brown sand with some clumps and sticks. The "top soil" label is misleading. We are returning 38 bags out of 40. Unfortunately, an unsuspecting cherry tree and grapes were planted with some of it before I was able to examine the material. Will probably dig them up and replant them with something nutritious. Disappointed. It was a lot of lifting and hauling for my husband. (We are seniors). Would not recommend. See more reviews on Lowe's website.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Top Soil??????? You mean fill or mulch!!!! Bought this product to plant grass seed in some bare spots only to find wood, stones, cloth, and pieces of clay pots in the bag. This is the farthest thing from top soil I have ever seen. It should be called fill or mulch! How can Home Depot sell this stuff? Doesn't the buyer at Home Depot check what they are buying??? A big waste of $$$$.

My purchase of 65 bags (pallet) were excellent , maybe most of theses folks thought for such little cost they were going to get premium top soil. Folks this stuff is best suited for above ground gardening as a medium to your vegetable garden, just fertilize with miracle grow every 2 weeks and roll with it!!!
