I foster dogs for a local refuge and will often have as many as 8 dogs. I only had small dogs so I cannot speak about the toenails on big dogs. Since my fosters come from bad conditions they are not usually housebroken. I of course clean up any accidents immediately but when I am gone sll day it has not been a problem.

Don't use "trafficmaster-Allure" Products! My floor is less than 48 hours old and my dog ran through twice, scratched the heck out of it. Very DISAPPOINTING....Costly mistake on my part. I'm going back to the "Mom & Pop" specialty store, may pay a tad more......WORTH IT IN LONG RUN! As the owner of a rental....1st and last time shopping @ Home Depot for higher ticket items.

The vinyl plank flooring from Home Depot is extremely durable and easy to clean. It wouldn't be marred by dog scratches like real wood. I would not use the Allure Residential flooring as it only has a Urethanea finish on it and it could scratch. The Allure Plus and Allure ULTRA both have a ceramic bead coating that will help with the scratches. Just keep in mind that all floors with the exception of ceramic tile will scratch.

Yes but the time is very limited with that transition meaning 15 minutes before removing plank to plank however you can remove the entire flooring because it completely lays on top of the surface there is no adhesive bonding to the subfloor.

I have not removed these yet, but I can say No, they are not likely reusable. They have a strip of adhesive so each "board" attaches to the one next to it. This adhesive is VERY sticky, but if you do pull them apart, you're going to lose a lot of that adhesion. You probably will end up breaking or deforming a lot of them while trying to pull them apart as well.

They are not easy to pull apart, but if you were to remove them knowing that you will destroy them, I don't think it would be all that hard. There's no adhesive between the flooring and the subfloor, so it will be far easier to remove than traditional linoleum (which is a nightmare to pull up) and probably easier than the peal and stick vinyl tiles. As a renter, its a nice solution because you won't destroy the floor beneath. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Durable, looks awesome! I will say, that with any flooring as long as you are making sure your floor is level, clean and ready to go, you will have no problem installing this. Just be meticulous in your seams. It will reward you over and over. My husband installed this in a day, after all the floor prepping of the last week we had to do. Totally worth it. I will say that the color I chose for our bathroom wall darkened a lot after we installed this. That was my only concern, but honestly I should have known better, going from a near white 1990's sheet vinyl to this mid-tone wood color. We love this product, and it is much nicer on the feet than ceramic tile. The slip factor is significantly reduced too. We are going to be using a similar product, as a result, in other areas of our home for future renovation projects. June 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice flooring I have purchased Allure flooring for my kitchen and basement family rooms. It is easy to install and scores easily. This was the first plank style I tried but knew I wanted same type of flooring as I have used before. My only problem was that I started in the bathroom knowing I wanted a seamless transition to my bedroom. I should have started in the bedroom and worked towards the bathroom because I had to fit seams under to finish which was a little challenging with the sticky tack strip. It is finished now and looks great! This is an inexpensive way to change your flooring that is water resistant. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with this product This flooring was very easy to work with and to install. The instructions were easy to follow and provided good installation tips. We installed 650 square feet in about 8 hours total. We plan to put this same flooring in two additional rooms. I would recommend this product. March 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Wood Look Flooring This flooring was easy to work with. The finished product was beautiful and is impervious to water. It worked well in our kitchen, bathroom & foyer. June 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very easy installation This flooring installed easily and looked great when done. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product I had never put any type of flooring down in the past and was skeptical of my abilities to get the Allure TrafficMaster flooring installed by myself and have the job turn out well. To my surprise it was easy. The job was almost fun and very rewarding when I finished. I put it down in a 250 sf room, it took about 8 hours. It looks great and I would recommend it to anyone. This product is very well designed, it cuts with a box cutter and is almost hard to mess up. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We like the looks of the Country Pine even better than we thought we would. This type flooring does cause a little clap noise when walking across it. FYI Home Depot does not carry the trim in the store to go with the Allure flooring but it is available online. FYI the floor being laid over must be very level. If it is not some type filler/leveling agent must be applied to create a very level floor with no low spots. FYI in addition if laid over concrete the concrete must be sealed or a moisture barrier must be installed between the concrete and the Allure flooring. Note: we did have the flooring laid by a professional. There were a lot of closets and door ways to be cut around so I didn't feel comfortable laying it myself. July 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Floor The floor is gorgeous and I am super happy. it did take 11 hours to install so I thought maybe they should have sent two people on the job. a little surprised as my kitchen is not that big 152 sq ft. I was a little surprised that one full box was damaged looks like by the forklift and it was still delivered to my house and I still had to pay for it. But all in all I am very pleased with my floor and how it looks! May 3, 2016
