Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RHunter Meets all expectations of a cinderblock
Serving size: 1 cinderblock
Recommended Uses: Cinderblock wall, Cinderblock planter bed, Cinderblock desk legs, Cinderblock doorstop, Cinderblock gumbo
Not for use in: Cinderblock Anvil, Cinderblock Winerack, Cinderblock Crib, Cinderblock Persuasion Device, Cinderblock Legos
Parting remarks: Its a cinderblock. Its solid if you pour concrete in it. It cracks if you hit it too hard with a hammer, just like all cinderblocks do. If you have never used a cinderblock before, I highly recommend trying this product.

There are two different styles of cement blocks that have the same part number. Not a good things if one is particular. When I picked up my blocks, I had some of each. The employee at the service desk thought the person who brought the blocks to the service desk made a mistake, but it was quickly discover that there was indeed two different styles with the same part number. Someone went back to the storage area and quickly "fixed" my order. I was OK with that.

Great price for making raised garden beds. The slugs and snails don't particularly like climbing the rough surface. Let's face it though, grey is ugly! We found a product through another vendor called Soycrete and stained them green, though a variety of colors are available. It is a safe product to use with food gardens. If you stack the blocks with the holes facing up, you can use them to ring your garden with carrots or pest-controlling flowers. Save a tree, make a concrete garden! To the man who had trouble loading them into his trunk - that is what Store Associates are for - they will load it for you.

I see that some others have been using these for raised beds, too! Best feature is that concrete doesn't rot like wood. I'll eventually replace all of my beds' siding with these. They look great, too, because of how I've put the area together. I've paved 3 x 3 feet with grey 12" x 12" pavers between each bed, and paved the pathway with the same pavers down the middle of my 10 raised beds, which keeps me clean while gardening. It also dries very fast after a rain shower. This all ends at my grape pergola deck, with a huge rosemary bush to the side for privacy, and has a very italianate look to it during the summer. As to the below scuffing of leather, I always carry a fuzzy throw with me to protect my car seats, or to use for a picnic, and some flattened boxes to place things like this on.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cyclist online order works great
These are very heavy (17lbs) If you order online and pick up at the store, all you have to do is drive up to the pick up door and someone loads them in your van.. How easy is that. I love it

We were looking for just a basic block, for a planter wall, that will be covered with rock facing. The ordering online was flawless and to be honest the service was good, but not great. The lady at the service desk was way too worried about her coffee getting spilled by a coworker and the guys loading had to be tracked down (by me) to get the pallets of blocks loaded onto my truck. It all worked out.

I love using these cinder blocks for my raised garden! We drove 3 hours to get them! Home Depot has the lowest prices around on this item. However, we learned to always check the prices with the individual stores as their prices vary by location.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jake These blocks are useless
They crack in the winter when they freeze, hornets make nests in them in the summer, and animals seem to be drawn to them for relief, staining them yellow. Don't buy them
