Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Buy This One... Agree with other unsatisfied customers...ours stopped working after 2 years also. Don't be fooled by the LG brand name (most LG products are pretty good but this one is not). Look elsewhere. May 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Died after a year It dies after a year. Still ran but did not collect water, I wonder how long it was running like that actually. June 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buyer beware It lasted only two summers. I powered it on, ran it all day and collected no water. Sadly, I did not read all the reviews before I purchased it. Two years appears to be the most you'll get out of this product. June 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay AWAY from this one ! 2,400 sq.ft. split-level home in "muggy" GA. Home HVAC works fine but you have to run a LOT to keep humidity down. Decided to give my home system some help getting rid of the humidity. Bought (2) of these - upper level and lower level of house. Started out doing very nice but quit shortly after 1 st have (2) no longer working just over a year after purchase...both sitting in basement. Won';t make that mistake again...suggest you don't either !! May 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage Bought this. Broke shortly after and could not be repaired. It was replaced with a refurbished one, which also stopped working 2 years later. May 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Less than one star, stay away from this one If you could rate "0" stars, this would earn it. So sorry I rushed to the store and did not take the time to read other reviews. It has appealing features, it they worked. The machine is noisy, and after just one year, runs nonstop without taking a drop of moisture out of my basement. It was not the cheapest model so thought I might be getting a better quality product. Not so. Another 200 dollars wasted and my basement is still musty. May 27, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by terrible I have owned 4 of these in 3 years. The only reason I continue with this model is that there is a cut out in my wall exactly the size of it. The previous owner of the house put it on a shelf and ran a drainage hose through the foundation into the driveway.Every model so far freezes up and stops dehumidifying, and it is not in a cold area (the average temperature of the area is 65-70 degrees). The company does honor the warranty, so if it goes bad inside of 1 year, call them. I have done this 2 times already. The problem with that is that the refurbished model they send is even less reliable than the new ones. Eventually I may have to alter this hole in my wall to accommodated a more reliable brand. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I purchased an LG LHD459EL on April 2, 2010. The unit worked fine until two days ago (October 16, 2011) when it all caked with ice. It's been manually defrosted twice since but freezes up again about an hour after it's turned back on. The basement it's in is warm: it's 68F. I'm disappointed that the unit has failed after 18 months. October 18, 2011
