Answer:
If you put it up on a wall, then drywall over that so you sandwich between drywall layers, you might have some luck.

This product may help to dull the noise slightly when used for that purpose, but it will not completely block out the sound.

Answer:
Hi, unfortunately our products will not stop a dog from barking. : )
Seriously though, this is a common problem in neighborhoods. While the sheet may be used as an impromptu sound curtain, it would not solve the problem. As well as being unsightly there will still be some sound transmission as the sound will travel through the rest of the untreated wall.

Hi!
Yes, the front fiberglass is a paint able surface. Coat with a primer coat, allow to dry and then apply your favorite colored paint.

Answer:
Hi Doug,
You may add it to the back of the window curtain, your results will vary as the window is a complex opening in your wall. It will minimize the exterior noise, but it will not "sound proof" your window. To truly be effective, a sound dampening window as well as addressing the header, sill, and jack studs with our material.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Misleading description This product does not significantly reduce the noise passing though a wall. It was designed to absorb sound reflecting inside a room. I question the claim of 75% noise reduction. You would need 3/4" of mineral fiber (like an acoustic ceiling tile) to get a similar result. May 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Acoustical Barrier The product looks like it should do the job. Should have 2 people to apply. January 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by no resoults I decide to give it a chance despite the single negative comment. However the result was the same. I wanted to isolate a common of my town house. The instalation instructions were followed precisely but with no effect. Sounds good and convenient but not realistic. Maybe the one that is made to go between the walls will work better. September 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This product does not do what it is supposed to do. If your application is to block noise from sharing common walls with neighbors, this is NOT the product. I sent a message to the manufacturer complaining about this issue and their response is that this product is NOT designed to block noise!! June 4, 2013
