I purchased the 12x20 carport with enclosure kit for my pickup. After starting assembly, I discovered the front and rear has a 0ne foot overhang. After subtracting two ft and four inches for the front and rear frame, the usable inside dimensions becomes 17ft six inches. My truck is 18 ft two, so it would not fit. I then had to order a four ft extension kit. The base rails sent for the four ft were 75 inches long, the wrong ones. Versatube appears slow to respond. I believe with time they will send the right parts. Also there were no installation instructions for the enclosure kit. The add on kit added $673 to the cost and I am still waiting. Very misleading about the usable size.

Bought the carport for a boat cover for our new dock. My contractor put it up. Commented several times how easy it was to install. Looks beautiful. The only thing missing are caps for the 2" tubes. Lots of wasp by the water. And, the caps will keep leaves and bugs out. Ordered a set off e-bay! Home Depot had the best price and delivered it to my vacation home. Definitely recommend.

If you make sure that everything is square as you go it goes up pretty easily. HOWEVER, the self-tapping screws they give for installing the roofing were worthless. I had to buy a metal drillbit to drill pilot holes for every screw on the roof. This worked but took much longer to put up the roofing. If not for that I would have given 4 stars. I have done quite a bit of metal roofing work. (I put a whole new roof on my house) and have never had this kind of trouble. The screws would not even penetrate the roofing let alone the tubular steel. Seems like a nice sturdy structure though and looks good now that it is up.

The manufacture contacted us prior to shipment. They inquired regarding the anchoring required for the unit. The item was packed well to protect against damage. The local trucking company, which works with the manufacturer, dropped off the unit on schedule.
We chose to have a local contractor assemble the unit this time. I have installed several in the past. I recommend assembling the entire framing first. Before you install the roof, make sure the frame is plumb and square. Also, using a string, make sure the base rails are straight and true with no bowing or flexing to match the contour of the ground/concrete slab. Shim and shore to achieve a perfectly straight line. Then, assemble the roof per the instructions. When the assembly is 100% assembled; then anchor the unit to the ground/concrete slab. If you do not do this, any imperfections on the level of the ground/concrete slab will transfer to the frame and the roof panels may not or be extremely difficult to line up.
Once the unit is fully installed it [provides excellent protection.

I purchased this product through a competitor due to pricing and shipping costs being lower at the time. I needed this to keep my classic truck out of the winter in NH. We get a lot of snow and I had contemplated purchasing a canvas car shelter, but after seeing the condition of the ones in local areas it was clear that would be a waste of around $800.00. For the extra money I purchased this which came with a 20yr limited warranty on corrosion which was nice. It setup easy, but take the time to square it up and plumb the legs before putting the roof on and driving the anchors. The ground anchors are very rugged and went through very rocky soil with little effort from a 10lb sledge. Frame is rugged, but some hammering needs to be done at joints to get them to slip together (really not a big deal as joints are very tight). They do not give you enough self tapping screws to put 4 in each joint as specified, so pick some up or if you order on the phone ask for extra (they did offer to send me more, but for $8 I just purchased some locally to get the job done). Came with plenty of roofing screws, actually about 500. Has withstood winds, and 12" of snow with no shoveling needed. Overall I am very happy. Also if a roof panel does get damaged Home Depot sells the same panels for about $35.00 each, in the same color. I will be purchasing some more panels to close in the sides of the building soon.

Simple to set up, a bit more challenging to fasten 1st. roof panel. It seemed to take a long time from placement of order to shipping.
