How do you cut it to be a perfect length?
Asked by: Janice
Easily cuttable with kitchen shears or utility knife. If to answer otherwise, measure length, roll it out, put a block on one end to hold down the tape measure end to the edging and keep it from coiling back up, then cut to length.

What spikes it stakes should I be using to hold it in place?

Usually just some brand of edging staples and then the ground cover backfill should be just fine.

The huge complaint is that the sticker that you see is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to remove completely. Unfortunately it is on the outside of the product, so it shows. We soaked it in hot water, tried acetone and petroleum based products to remove it. I will never buy this product again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well Separating Lawn Grass From Flower Beds Have purchased this product twice over last five years. Use it to keep lawn grasses from growing into flower beds. Installation involves laying down a string at the edge of the grass then digging a vertical trench 4 inches deep. Place the edging up against the face of the grass then use nails to fasten the edging to the lawn facing. Upper lip of edging should be just above grass. Back fill with topsoil in the flower beds. I used 6 inch exterior galvanized timber ties available at Home Depot for 21 cents each. Work better than plastic stakes and are more durable and less expensive. Laying edging in sun to soften does the job. Can turn corners with edging in a fairly tight arch(add additional nails). Installed edging will hold a straight line for the first year or two. Over time the edging will waiver slightly but not unattractive.

I'd of liked to seen a larger inside flap for tacking groundcover to the edging whereas maybe someone else would like it exactly how it is. Simple to cut and pliable. If you're looking for something that you're not going to have to put effort into keeping straight go with something else, this is for areas where you are working patterns, replacing pre-existing construction or have time to work it out to look straight without waves in a long run. Good stuff.

Also, while does curves OK, looks terrible if your bed happens to have a 90 degree corner. But most of my frustration is with the lousy manufacturer's sticker. It took 40 minutes, at least, to strip that sucker off using Goo Gone, a razor blade, a kitchen knife, a rough brush, and my fingernails. Never again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How to get it straight I see a lot of comments in here show frustration of trying to keep that border straight. there is a simple solution if you own a gas edger. spray paint the line you want along the ground then use the edge of the cut it out. once you have the cut in the ground all you got to do is stuff that border down in there it'll never come out
