You can go to www.thebagster.com and it will tell you what your collection fees will be, what stores in your area sell the bags, or links if you want to order online. It also tells you what kind of waste is/isn't accepted. My quote was $129 for the first bag, then $99 for each additional bag after that (when all bags are purchased at same time).

If you filled it with water it would weigh 4960 lbs, 1660 lbs over the limit. Wood weighs slightly less that water. So if you had at least 1/3 air space, you'd be under the limit. Branches and a few tree trunks ok, but solid stacked wood would not.

Customer Reviews

Dumpster in a Bag is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 30249.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from More expensive with rules scattered about but very convenient Before buying this read the instructions on their website! There are so many rules for this bag from overhead wires to weight to placement etc. There are many rules on the website and others in the packaging. If you do not have an open area on your lawn or driveway (where a truck with crane can enter) don't bother getting this. Although the packaging rules state not to, I read some reviews that you can place it on the street at your own risk of the crew accepting it. In my county, it is legal to temporarily place a dumpster in the street as long as it does not impede traffic. I found a spot on my lawn to place it, 20 feet away from all power lines and trees and on a minimal slope. The only spot other than the street. My driveway is flanked by two tall well spread crape myrtyles so that wouldn't work. I Demo'd a 5"x8" bathroom and placed all the debris with the exception of the toilet, vanity and tub in there. Most of the bathroom walls were 'mud walls' which are 1-1.5" thick with tile laid on them. My drywall was 1" thick as well. I tried to put the heaviest materials on the bottom and filled the entire bag. If I had regular drywall I could have probably fit the tub (broken up), vanity and toilet in there. You can see my bag filled in the photo. I wrapped the handles up and used the website to notify the bag was ready. As I went through the site I saw that the bag could not be more than 1/3 of heavy debris such as cement. Those mud walls were about half the bag so I was worried. But the bag was still picked up two business days later! I live in the DC area. I did a lot of research before choosing this option. I think bad reviews on the company forcing people to move the bag differ by locality and how the crew feel about your bag and its placement. I could have hauled everything to the dump for maybe half the price but this was much more convenient, especially when I had a month to finish the remodel. Just haul it outside to the bag and they take care of it. My big complaint with the process is the rules. I get they need a lot of rules for safety and legal reasons but some rules were only in the packaging, some on the website and others I only saw when I was scheduling a pickup.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Concept, Poor Pickup Expereince After renting a dumpster from another company I was told I couldn't use anything but Waste Management in my neighborhood. We thought this was a great option when we heard about it. When it came time to pick we scheduled it and then had to wait 2 weeks for both bags to be picked up because we were reschedule 7 times. Yes, one of the bags had been overfilled originally which I understand they couldn't pick it up but instead of notifying us why, it was left and cancelled with no explanation until I called.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Convenient for small projects We ripped the ceiling out of our garage, which fit, barely, into the bagster. No issues with scheduling or pickup - the whole process was actually pretty painless. Pickup was within 48 hours of scheduling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from my 1 star review is not here I placed a 1 star review about a month ago and it is not on this sight. Basically it took almost 4 weeks from my call to get the expensive thing removed from my lawn. Are they editing the reviews?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pickup trouble Purchasing and filling the bag was the easy part. The hard part was having them come pick it up. I called to schedule a pickup and was given three days that they would be here. After receiving two emails stating my pickup had been rescheduled for the next day, I called them to complain. Finally after the fourth day of having this huge bag blocking the use of my driveway they finally came by. The purchase was easy and I found the convenience of having the bagster was great. It holds a lot of stuff and I was able to clean out my garage and basement. I selected yes to recommend only based on the convenience not the pickup.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good for moving I am moving out of my current residence and needed a solution for household items we wanted to trash. When moving, you are given strict timelines to be off the property. I allowed for the three day window when purchasing the bagster. However, when I went online to schedule I was informed it could take 5 business days before pickup and this went well beyond the first of the month when I needed to be off the property with the weekend and a holiday. I called the 800 number and all the customer service person could offer me was 1-800-GOT-JUNK, their timelines are what they are. Bagster should be very clear with potential customers to allow enough time for scheduling over the three day window for pickup. Also, Bagster, please note, when people are moving out, they do not have the luxury of waiting for you to be ready to pick it up. You should have a system of special circumstances where you can make exceptions for certain situations. An expedited fee could be charged for that - Bagster is happy, the customer is happy - it is a win-win. I think it is a great idea, but as it stands now, I would never recommend a Bagster unless you have lots of time. Bagster, improve your operations!
Date published: 2016-08-28
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, not great. I just filled two of these Bagsters. I generally like to use these occasionally and it was a convenient way to clean out the basement. However, there was an issue with one of them - the strap brook due to dry rot (it had been outside for a few months. So I had to empty all the contents into a new Bagster - quite a chore. No where on the Bagster not it's packaging does it mention how long it can be left out doors or that it could get dry rot and break. The other heads up is the cost to have it picked up is rather high at $140, so when added to the cost of the bag it's a $170 transaction.
Date published: 2016-08-02
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Awful experience. The bagster website doesnt clearly state Its requirements for how big your driveway has to be or how the wires can hang. They sent me an email on the day of my bag collection that they picked up my bag. I looked out the window and saw my bag still sitting in my driveway. I called customer service and spoke to Someone with a thick foreign accent who could care less that I paid for a bagster pickup, an email was sent saying bag picked up, yet my bag was still sitting there... The rep said, oh they couldn't get it because of low wires. I said, well that's quite different then " bag picked up". no calls or knocks were made on My door to advise me of my problem. What was bagster going to do, take my money and run without providing service!!? Probably had I not called and yelled at the rep that they better send a truck out to pick my bag up liked paid for. She threatened a "2nd trip charge". I said I want it waived. She said she would "try". I requested a supervisor call me to tell me when this ridiculous fee is waived. The rep said I'd get a call in 24 hours - but I never did! My husband and I had to unload the bagster, move it to the tree lawn , reload the bagster and the bag was picked Up the next day. This time the driver knocked on my door to thank us for moving the bag, which was no easy task. The driver was the only one who deserves credit. He was nice and competent, and the only one throughout this process that actually cared. I feel bad he works for such an awful company.
