Asked by: Chris
No it's just white plastic.. you'd have to paint it if you don't want it white.. but being plastic that wouldn't be hard.

Can I install the drain on the bottom of the pan as opposed to the side?

Asked by: Gwin27
There is no drain in the pan, it's to keep water from getting on a floor if there is a leak from washer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it is supposed to do Good value. To avoid the problems the negative reviews mention make sure you look up a video or description of how to lift your washing machine over the edge of the pan so you don't break the pan. If you have two strong people handy you can just lift the machine up and over the lip of the pan and carefully drop it in. If you don't have any help one person can do it. I was able to do it myself using a 4x4 on the outside of the pan and moving the washing machine up and over into the pan a little bit at a time. A small rug or welcome mat on the inside the pan while tipping the machine in will also help prevent any crack in the pan when the machine first tips down into the pan. The rug can be pulled out from under the machine once it's completely in the pan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Do-It-Yourself Installation tip... The first drip pan we installed ourselves, we cracked the edges all up, trying to get the silly washing machine into it. We got a little smarter second time around. Tilt washing machine back and scoot back edge of pan under the machine about halfway. Use 2 2x4's- one on outside edge of pan (under the washing machine), and one on inside edge of pan at same edge (protects the edge of the pan and creates a small "lever"), and gently tilt machine up and over into the pan and slide it forward. Once the machine is inside the pan, you can adjust it around to square it up.

My washer was leaking and I needed a pan to protect the floor until I could fix the leak. This pan is very heavy duty. I also purchased a smaller pan that HD sells and I returned it. The plastic was thin and I could see it cracking eventually.
