Customer Questions & Answers

kink free hose

Is the WaterWorks FlexRITE 5/8 in. dia. x 75 ft.... kink free?
Asked by: DB
I usually buy almost ALL of my home supplies from Home Depot and I also give reviews and professionally answer questions from time to time and with that said, I was expecting a great hose, especially for the price and because this did say kink free and yet this is possibly the WORST hose I have ever purchased from anyone. I water every night and this kinks EVERY time I use it.....If I had not already been using it for 3 months I would be taking it back for a refund. Pure Junk.

Customer Reviews

FlexRITE 5/8 in. Dia x 100 ft. Water Hose is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 225.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from HEAVY DUTY Made in America this hose has the feel of quality. Heavy crush proof brass fittings and with a 400 PSI burst rating. This is a heavy hose, much heavier than any I've ever owned. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty. The brass fittings are oversize giving you the ability to get a good grip to tighten things to keep leaks and drips minimized or stopped. It is heavy to move around when full so it's not great for lightweight yard work, but excellent for those necessary long runs. It's much easier to deal with when empty and the hose is heated up over 70 degrees to make it more flexible. This will be an excellent hose to have and hopefully never worry about replacing for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior hose This is truly a quality hose! The massive brass hose fittings make tightening the fitting to a spigot a snap (just make sure you have some extra clearance.) The rubber flex 'hose armor' fittings make this hose stand our from the others for it's durability and quality. It's rated for up to 400 PSI for a high performance burst rating and features a super durable, abrasion resistant jacket. The weight of the hose bundle is very reasonable considering it's 100' in length. There is a little wrestling when you coil it up but I have yet to use it in warmer temperatures when it may be more pliable. I'm certain I'll get many years of great use with this hose. The hose also features a limited lifetime warranty which also speaks to the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hose survives Texas heat! This hose has excellent coupling attachments - large and easy to put on and take off - you can use your entire hand and not just your fingertips. It is a heavy hose. When I first started to uncoil it I had a hard time. It was a bit like fighting a python snake to uncoil it. After I got it uncoiled I let it sit outside in the Texas heat for two days - that is important - the hose got much easier to handle and not fight you because of stiffness. It is now easier to pull around and you can tell it will last a long time. So far I have had zero kinks - good sign. Looks like this hose will last many years. There ya go!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, rugged professional grade hose Florida summers are brutal on anything left outside, hoses included. When I try to get by with homeowner grade hoses I can't get them to last more than one season, so I opt for the sturdier grade heavy duty hoses like this one. I just got it, but I am already impressed with the brass fittings and strength of the hose itself. Even though it's heavy duty, it feels flexible enough that I won't be wrestling a python getting it wound onto my hose reel, especially once it's been unwound and relaxes a bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well constructed hose. My old hoses were in bad shape. I had two 50 foot hoses connected together in order to reach 1/2 of my yard while watering the grass. Both were several years old, and both were quite inexpensive when I purchased them. Last summer, one of them burst and I had to buy a splice kit to repair. This hose is very high quality and I do not anticipate having the same problem.

I connected this piece of junk to my outside faucet and a hand held nozzle, as soon as I turned on the faucet, just a quarter turn the nozzle end coupling blew apart. I reconnected and tried again, this time the faucet end coupling came apart. I won't be trying this brand again........ so much for buying "made in the USA from global materials"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Reach Hose Spring is coming soon. This heavy duty, 100 ft. garden hose is made well with re-enforced hose materials and sturdy hose-end fittings. Use this hose for all your watering needs....power washers, portable sprinklers, or with a Spray Nozzle. This hose is hard to kink, easy to roll-up yet doesn't feel heavy to carry around. . Check out this quality hose and upgrade from that old, leaky one, Spring is coming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice hose that works I like the big nut on the end of the hose that you can really get your hand around. The part I am talking about is the piece you have to twist to screw it into the wall. On other hoses it can be small and difficult to grasp but this one is big and easy to grip allowing you to really tighten the thing down in order to prevent any water leaking. I have mine mounted on a reel system and it really works well. Hose seems well built and the weight is good (not too heavy).
