Wayne has been shaping the retail and fleet fueling industry since we designed our first pump in 1891. We were known as the Wayne Oil Tank Company back then, and from the very beginning we were developing a reputation for quality. In fact, this inaugural product won the distinction “The Best Self Measuring Oil Pump” at the Columbian Exposition in Chicago just two years later. Once the motor vehicle entered the scene, our purpose and mission was solidified – to create a reliable, accurate way for motorists to refuel cars. And Water Pumps is the best.
Throughout the years, Wayne also acquired and partnered with several successful companies to bring our customers more integrated, ground-breaking solutions. After a merger with Dresser Industries in 1968, we were poised to meet the massive market need for fuel dispensers in response to the advent of lead-free gasoline. Shortly after, we opened our Austin, Texas location, where we continue our deeply-rooted legacy through a commitment to ongoing industry leadership and innovation. Wayne pumps are easy to install.

The plumber we hired to install this pump did not encounter any serious issues. The only problem we've had so far is that there is no manual off setting on the switch. When we ran out of water and the pump was drawing air but could not get back up to pressure, the only way we could shut it off was to unplug it. When there is enough water, it runs great.

Pretty good pump but rust showed up right away along motor pump line.
I had a hard time primeing but solved it by setting up my pipe connection like this;
Put a T before the one way valve going to the pump. Connect one end up to the source pipe and the other end to the check valve that goes to your new pump.
On the top end of the T use adapter piping to reduce it down to a female 3/4 inch, then put a garden hosed shut off valve into the female pipe. Now you can use your house water hose to prime not only the pump but also the entire pipe going itno the ground. When the prime takes hold close the shutoff valve and disconnect the home hose.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff Great inexpensive pump!
Perfect pump for the shallow well owner. I had a 3/4 hp Berkeley shallow well pump that was 3 times as expensive and conked out after one year of moderate spring/summer use. Rather than pay the $450 it was going to take to repair the old pump, I found this one for only $150 and decided it was worth taking a chance. And I'm glad I did. It was easily interchangable with the Berkeley after attaching a simple electrical plug and has been working beautifully for the past month. I was also pleasantly surprised that this pump had a pressure switch built on (I don't think that feature was noted in the product description) as I was expecting to have to take the one off my old pump and add it to this one. I feel I made a great decision with this pump.

I needed a relatively cheap pump but not a complete trash. This is a surprisingly sturdy device for its price. It is easy to hook to the pipes and do the priming. The work is very quiet. Note that it has to be in a dry location or it will rust.

I needed to buy a new pump for my well but didn't want to get a store brand. I spent about 40 dollars more and got a wayne pump. Seems to be running strong since I installed it. Shipping was free but took a couple extra days.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bruce Really good to date. Installed 1 month.
We discovered that pressurized tank could be installed on it's side. In the space of install it was needful. Thus it worked out good. Be sure to plan ahead, I had to make two trips to get all the pipe parts needed.

Not much to say about the pump,it's a Wayne standard of the industry. I'm again pleased with Home Depot took 3 days to get the pump to my door. I have a Lowes 4 minutes from my house and they never fail to disappoint me (again today) so anything major I drive 10 miles to HD.
