Answer:
Your pump might be like mine was set on 220 volts if so you can change the volts on it pretty easy. You might want to check it if you haven't already done that.

Hi Mike - If you are using a long power cord or are some distance from your power source, the first ting I would try is going with a shorter cord and/or larger wire gauge cord (10 or 12 gauge)...Good Luck.

Did you check the 120V/230V switch on the back of the pump motor? Or perhaps the wiring is not up to snuff. You should use at least 14 gauge wire.

NO....but there are two ports on top of the pump. One for discharge and one for priming. The priming port can have a tee fitting installed with a gauge and still have an opening for priming.

Answer:
Sure didn't see one.....if it's there it's really, really small.. Seriously, however, there is a 3/4 inch priming port next to the outlet port and a $10 gauge could be installed there with a couple cheap fittings A tee fitting would still allow the use of the port as a priming port..

Suitable for water tank -> sprinklers without pressure tank?

I have a 500 gallon water tank and want to hook up a garden hose to drive several sprinkler systems. No water pull-up required, just pressure as gravity is not enough. Can I hook up this pump directly to the water tank and the hose to the sprinkler system, without needing a pressure system? Or will this pump break prematurely by turning on/off too often?

this pump will move 7 gallons a minute at roughly 50 psi resistance, with a 500 gallon tank, that gives you about 70 minutes before the tank runs out with the motor running the entire time. Dont run a pump with the pressure switch hooked up without a pressure tank it will cycle on and off (unless your sprinkler system demands so much water that the pump cant keep up) You can do it but you may need a relief valve downstream of the pump to dump excess water back to the tank to keep the pressure within pump specs. You will also need a pressure gauge between the pump and relief valve,an electrical timer switch to stop pump before you run out of water and a GFCI circuit for protection. Your plan is not a good one. For your system, just a good old irrigation pump would be a much better choice (and much cheaper).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job Easily runs 4 sprinkler heads at 2 gal per minute each from a 10 foot 2" driven well point June 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good pump Install went very well. Pump maintains proper pressure. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good pump for small cabin, or place with low water usage. Needed a small pump to draw water from a cistern, and provide it to a small cabin. The small size is ideal for our low water usage. It feels well made, and is quiet. The extra 3/4" port for priming is nice, as are the smaller ports for winter draining. ** Instructions for pressure settings are on the inside of the electrical cover, and aren't fully described in the very generic instructions. ** You will likely need a check valve before the intake if you don't want your entire source line to be pressurized back to the foot valve. When I first started it up, it short cycled, but that turned out to be the pressure tank that was pre-charged to 55psi, so it wasn't taking in any water. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Good Pump I've given the good rating instead of higher because I have only had the pump for a short period of time. It operates great so far. It is much quieter than the craftsman pump that it was the previous one. it is nice to get rid of another machine noise in the house. if i ever have an issue with it, I'll let you know. June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the job done This was an easy install on a well that is only 11 feet deep. The inlet is 1 1/4 inches which is standard but the outlet is 3/4 inch whereas standard is 1 inch which meant buying another fitting. No big deal but the smaller outlet size also restricts the pump outflow. There is plenty of room on the pump housing for a 1 inch opening so I don't get the odd 3/4 inch outlet size. May 10, 2016
