Sorry for my incorrect answer from June 24th I did not realize it had a battery I after three years never had to change it yet. It is a AA cell battery and easy to change out.

My last Weber was 9 years old and I had rebuilt it once with new Venturis, new flavorizer bars and new grates. I got 2 more years out of it. But finally, the firebox started to flake off the porcelain coating in big chunks and I decided to look for something new. I spend a lot of time researching my new purchase and considered the Nexgrill 4 burner stainless steel, the Charbroil Infrared and the BroilKing Signet. The Nexgrill got good reviews from Consumer reports but seems cheaply made compared to the Weber and BroilKing. For example, the Venturi tubes are attached to a piece of sheet metal that is tag welded into the firebox vs. the Weber which has a fixed edge that is part of the casted firebox and provides a sturdy surface for the venture tube to rest on. I decided against the Nexgrill because these tag welds will come off and then I am forced to come up with my own fix because by then the warranty probably has expired. Look at the construction that Weber offers in my picture. This may be a small detail for most, but believe me if you plan on keeping something for 9 years those details make all the difference. The Charbroil was out because I did not like the difficult cleaning process required for the infrared grates. That left the Weber 210 and the BroilKing Signet in the race. I liked them equally but the cooking surface on the Weber 210 is smaller. I ultimately decided for the Weber 210 due to Weber quality and the fact that I could buy the assembled grill from Home Depot. The BroilKing was only available from either an internet shop or the other big hardware store chain but not HD. The new 210 is smaller than my old Weber Spirit 210. The knobs are now on the front. I like the following features on the new design: - New foldable trays for a smaller footprint on the patio when not in use - Gas tank holder that gives a visual about how much gas is left. It seems accurate and goes by weight of the container. - Dials on the front I hope I get 9 years out of it again.

I thought I found one that was close and almost purchased it, but then it hit me, why go for "almost?? Home Depot assembled the grill for free and about an hour later I fired the Spirit up. It preheated to 650 in about 4 minutes, I adjusted the temp and I have never had more fun grilling. The temperature was set at 450 and that's where it stayed, Perfect!!!! The weather turned bad later and all I had to do was roll it over to a secure area on my deck, fold down the arms and put the cover on it. This is an incredibly made, solid constructed grill but don't let the compact size fool you. There is a lot of room to grill the largest cuts of meat, veggies, burgers etc and the efficient gas regulator doesn't waste a cubic inch of propane. Cook as fast or slow as you like, this unit can do it all. So glad that I chose a Weber Spirit e-210.

Took about an hour to build it which was really easy. All the parts for each step were in their own bag to make setup a breeze. Grilled on it for dinner and man is this thing fast. Grill was up to temp in a couple of minutes and 6 minutes later a perfect medium rare steak. From someone who has never grilled before I couldn't be happier.

I have ignited both burners and left it on with the lid closed, both burners fully turned up for 20 minutes and the temperature guage never goes above 350 degrees. The flame does not get very large as to what I'm use to see. Like the cast iron cooking area and the sidewalls are of heavy metal which helps hold the heat in. Really like the propane tank indicator to let you know when the tank is almost empty. If I can get the heat up I would recommend this grill and give it 5 stars as it sits now I would give it 3 stars.

I bought the grill in the box which means I had to go home and put it together. Not a problem. The directions that Weber provides for putting it together are excellent. Very good pictures and everything is very detailed. Very easy to put together. The ignition switch work wonderful and I was a little confused by the box under the grill, but then soon figured it out. You hang your tank under the grill on this box, and based upon weight, it indicates approximately how much propane is left in the tank. I also love that the side tables fold down which requires less storage in the winter months. I have not found anything I dislike about this grill. Extremely satisfied.

Weber is the is the best of BBQ equipment , whatever you cook comes out perfect as no area of cooking surface is hotter than another. The assembly was quick and easy especially for a guy that is NOT A DO IT YOURSELF TYPE GUY. Home Depot employees very helpful in showing the options available For the price this is dollar for dollar a great buy. Leo G.

I replaced my Weber Spiirt 2-Burner propane gas grill with this unit and it is a bit disappointing. Although my former gas grill didn't have a built in gas gauge, it's very difficult to mount a full tank on the hook of this unit. Bending over with a full 20lb tank is difficult, and sitting down does not allow the leverage to manipulate the tank easily into place. I had a purchased an inline pressure gauge that worked well. I would have to fabricate a metal floor to place the tank on, since the tank would sit directly on the deck if not hung on the hook, making it difficult roll the grill around. My former gas grill also got much hotter. Not all bad news. The fold down side tables are a plus, along with the controls mounted in the front instead of on the side table as my former unit was. The fold down tables also allow for a smaller footprint on my deck. Those, plus the reversible cast iron grates were the features that drove me to purchasing this grill. I had a long search to even find cast iron grates when I bought the last Weber. Now, they seem to be the standard! Thank you Food Network!
