Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by smitty50 product is good. gettting one that was not dented was not.
product is good after we FINALLY got it put together. We do not have a truck or vehicle to transport the bigger item! So we had delivered. When we were ready to put together, the product was completely dented up, even though the box was in good condition. How does that happen? Was it all dented before pakaging?
AFTER many trips back to the hardware store, because the second one that was given to us it had missing products. We finally got it together.
BTW, we had to 'rent' a truck to get the darn thing home. Wow we really saved alot on free shipping!
And it is not easy to put together like indicated. pay the extra to have put together.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeffthegrillmaster This is one fantastic grill!
I read reviews from Weber grills, and all the others on his website and other websites, and still I struggled with the price of this product. I went to the store and looked at the quality differences of the various grills, then I took the advise of others who have reviewed the product and made the purchase. Like the other reviewers, I am overjoyed with the operation of the grill, and I am glad that I read the reviews and have the cast iron grates. No hot or cold spots, and dark lines on the steaks and chicken have added to the appearance of the food that I have cooked. I am very happy I made the purpose, and thank the other reviewers for their insight.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dmslick My first Weber
I have never purchased an expensive grill before. I would just buy the cheapo $99 - $119 every other year and get by. The first year was ok, but the second year with the cheapo product was always embarrassing. The look of the grill went downhill along with the performance. I just got this Weber grill because my handyman recommended it and also my brother! I've used it once so far and I totall LOVE the way it feels and starts! and the cooking is so even, there doesn't seem to be any hot spots. I will have to write more later on this shopping experience, but I am so glad I got this grill, and I am told it will last for many years to come.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LAJAY Great Grill, JUST ONE PETPEEVE
Issue: I just don't like how the knobs are on the side table.
This is my first "nice" grill that I have purchased. I highly recommend Weber products, especially after my dealing with customer service (very friendly, quick turnaround/delivery).
The ONLY reason why I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this particular grill is because the knobs are on the side, this takes away a place to put a plate, bowl, tortillas, sauce, etc (you get the point). You only have one side, and I personally wish I had two sides to put stuff on while I'm cooking... if you think you will only need one side then this is a great grill - as far a material quality, heat, searing ability, etc!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CThomp LOVE THIS GRILL!!!
Cooked two times on the grill so far. Burgers came off the grill with awesome grill lines and evenly cooked. BBQ chicken on the grill last night turned out excellent. I will be cooking steak on it this afternoon and I can't wait. This grill is performing awesome. Wife and I assembled it in an hour and a half with no issues. Built like a tank. I bought it from home depot because they were the only store that carried it with the cast iron grates. If you pay the extra for a quality grill like this one, you will not regret it, or you can settle for the same old $100.00 flamethrower that you'll be replacing in two years. Kudos to weber....awesome job with this grill.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WMaus Outstanding grill, but ONE flaw
Like all Webers, this simplest model is a gem. I expect it will last as long as its predecessor, a Genesis that was new in 1992 and lasted thru three sets of flavor bars and grilltops, was cleaned maybe once a year and is still in use on a neighbor's beach. Bravo for cast-iron on the new model! No grill should have anything else.
HOWEVER: Does Weber think all its gas-grill customers are left-handed? For the sake of the majority who are right-handed, I'd love to see the controls on the LEFT, since I use them once a session, and the flat prep-area on the right because tha's where we right-handers manipulate plates, foil, forks, basting stuff, tongs, wood chips . . .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cautiousnow Sturdy, fast lighting, achieves temperature quickly.
Shipped in double packaging, well packed and no damage. Suggest opening in a location with plenty of room to unpack and separate parts. Some parts inside the hood. Took about 1 &1/2 hours to assemble; having a 7/16" ratchet helps. Take note of placement for the two locking wheels. Weber is a U.S. company, however, the packing box stated "Made in China". After assembly, everything worked as promised: igniter was flawless and grill heated to temperature almost within seconds. First grilled thick pork chops and was impressed. Prior grill was a Craftsman that lasted for over 15 years (with two new "H" burners), and hope to receive several years service from this grill.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Great Grill , just be patient building it
It's a great grill, the best I have ever owned.
I put it together alone in about 3 hrs. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I had some moments where I thought I was in trouble while putting it together. For example..
After I built the frame and lifted the grill on to the frame the two main screw holes that attach the grill to the frame did not line up. It took about 20 extra minutes before I just used my body force to squeeze everything together - I literally jammed it so it would fit. At that point I was frustrated and it was either going to break somewhere or fit - as luck had it it fit. And now it's a beauty.
